- This is the second time this sheltie has gone missing - she was last posted on Doglost in February 2009 - I recognise the photo and at that time I crossposted the details to all Sheltie / collie forums. Is there a gap possibly in your garden fencing where she is escaping from ? Worth checking. She has been very lucky to have been found twice ! I agree, a tag would be very worthwhile - Lola, you are far to old to be out wandering !Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Martina, What great news. I'm so pleased to hear that Lola is back home safe and sound. A huge THANK YOU to the finder and also to FOAL Farm for reuniting Lola with her worried owner. Thanks also to DL Helper heidi for springing into action! Just one small request, can this precious girlie have a nice, new shiny ID tag on her collar as a welcome home present?! And as for Lola, no more wandering off - you should know better at your age - stay close and safe.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Wow - I read about Lola just 30 minutes ago, printed the posters ready for the morning, ate my sandwich, went back online and as if by magic the lovely lola had gone "into the blue" !!! Wouldn't it be lovely if they were all like this ! Welcome home Lola, stay safe, a lady of your age shouldn't be going off wandering the streets. Well done Martina !!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi
Thanks for your good advice - but Lola has now been found!
She went missing from the back garden, and a lady near by found her and took her to a local rescue centre, Foal Farm.
They scanned her microchip and got in contact with me! Thanks again, Martina (and Lola!) Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18 - 2010-01-17 18:12 Millys Mum
- Postering is the key and one of the most important aspects of bringing our missing dogs back home. Believe us, you really can't have too many posters! We would advise at least 100 for starters and 200 is preferable. Poster: all local pubs, schools, cab offices, takeaways, local sorting office and all posties, supermarkets and their car parks, parks, vets, petrol stations, inform your local Council - presumably Bromley (give details to their street cleansing dept but make sure they record Lola's details and that they give you a reference number), railway stations, Network South East (once again ensure you are given a ref. no.), the dog warden service (LBB's dog warden's service is contracted-out to SDK Environmental - 01753 538 819), rescue and boarding kennels (Woodlands Boarding Kennels at Westerham Hill and at Chevening are a must!). Good luck in finding Lola and make sure she is the best known and hottest girl in town!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi I?m sorry to hear Lola is missing.
Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres? give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars, etc.
If your dog is microchipped please let your company know and, at the same time, check that all details held and up to date.
You can only print posters when you are signed in. Get postering now?.. WE CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS.
I will try and make personal contact with you soon but, in the meantime good luck in finding Lola. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
