This is so sad but he had a loving home to live out his last days & he will now be happy young dog again at the Bridge xxx
DogLostAngus
I had a sad email today to say that Midge went to the bridge yesterday - at least the last few months of his life were spent with other rough collies and in a lovely home - a big thankyou to his family for taking him on and letting him live the last few months of his life knowing love and home comforts. Run free at the bridge dear Midge xx

Midge, as he is now known, has gone to his new forever home today, he has not done well in kennels and is quite poorly, but new home in Kent with lots of land and 5 other rough collies sounds like heaven. Thank you to these wonderful people for giving him a home for the rest of his life. Sandie xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The Rough Collie Breed Rescue have been in contact with kennels and they have been very helpful in trying to organise a permanent foster home for this old Fella, I will update once I know he has been transfered into their care.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

email to admin Hi - My parents lived in Kidlington, so I was a frequent visitor there
until a few years ago. The only rough collie I recall is one that
belonged to an elderly disabled man who walked it very regularly using
his scooter. I am sure many people in Kidlington will know him - his
dog was obviously much loved, and I would hate to think it was alone if
anything had happened to him, so am contacting you just in case.
Best regards, Frances We will try  to investigate this as my initial thoughts that he could have an elderly owner out there somewhere    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is he a full Rough Collie?  Looks possibly a bit like a Rough Collie/GSD cross.  Hope his owners are found soon and he is reunited back with his family.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What a lovely boy. He's got to belong to someone surely? Rough Collie's don't tend to be dumped  although nowadays it is an increasing practice. I do hope he finds a good home if no owner comes forward. He looks as if that's exactly what he wants, a nice warm bed and some cuddles
