- Maggie, thank you so much for the update on Minime. It's good to hear that she is beginning to put weight back on and doesn't appear to be showing any ill-effects from her 'mini adventure'. It's great to hear that you are spreading the word about DogLost and also wanted to thank you for your generous donation! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- A lovely message from the owner of wee Minime who was trapped underground for more than a week and made a miraculous escape. Have moved her up to page 1 again, so all who are following her story will see it.----------
I have been showing all my friends the pictures of Minime on the dogs
reunited page and reading the emails. It is so wonderful having her back.
She is still subdued and not trying to dash off anywhere so she has
obviously had quite a big shock. Her back legs are still weak but she is
putting on weight and looking much better. She still feels light and silky, as the muscle tone has been considerably reduced.
We had a celebratory lunch to bury the ghost of horrors of the previous week, but I still make sure Minime has her lead on before I open the car door. She did prick up her ears as we drove up the drive to her old hunting grounds but had none of that taught pent up excitement of the past. So I don't think she has quite forgotten
her nightmare underground.
I have today made a donation to Doglost as I am so thrilled by all that you
do. It is so nice so see that we are already on page 2 as so many other
dogs have been reunited since. Good to read their stories, too.
I shall be taking great care of my terrier family from now on, I can assure
you.
All good wishes,
Maggie

- Here are some re-united photos of Minime and friends. Poor wee girl -her backbone is showing. She has lost a lot of weight and still looks very sorry for herself. Lots of cuddles and good food is the answer and I am certain she is getting that.Stay safe little one. xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Great news. Email from owner of Minime.
----------A MIRACLE!!!!!!!! MINIME HAS RETURNED. About 9pm there was a faint scratching at the door. There- was an extremely thin -positively skeletal - and very earthy-brown little dog looking somewhat
traumatised and sheepish. She had very obviously been stuck and has got herself out exactly a week to the hour since she disappeared outside the door. Goodness, she is lucky and so am I.
I cannot thank you enough for all your support. You have been brilliant and this has been one of the worst weeks of my life. Being given a second chancecertainly will get her chipped and be more careful about letting her go off at night or when I am not there to keep her in sight. That said, it is difficult to keep Jack Russells completely penned in because they love their freedom, but this last week has made me feel that complete freedom is too high a price to pay.
You have been wonderful, thank you. I am blessed to have had a happy ending
With all good wishes,
Maggie
