Any news on the identity of the dog that was shot? Why did they shoot the dog - and what gives them the right to shoot any dogs - surely the law should be involved with this? I don't understand why they would do such a thing.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadly from reading the SLR forum pages it seems that a dog matching Woody's description was shot by members of a shoot at the weekend , Woody's devasted owners are trying to get further information to confirm whether or not it is their boy, i will update any further news as I get itLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We've just heard from the owner that there is a possibility that Woody has been killed - shot by people involved with a pheasant shoot on Saturday - this is just so sad. Not sure if they will be able to get a 100% confirmation, but apparently a "greyhound" looking dog was shot. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner has searched all day yesterday, but the area is being used for a "shoot" today and cannot get onto the area. The shoot members have been advised and are keeping a look out for Woody. Woody is a Southern Lurcher Rescue dog and has been notified to all our membersLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
