- Great news, just had a text from Bailey's owner to say they have him back!! Yippee!! Needless to say they are over the moon. Bailey is fine other than being a little skinny. He was found in a ladies garden who called his owner, who Bailey went straight to. Welcome home lovely boy. Bailey's owner would like to pass on her thanks for all the help and is kindly going to make a donation to help us continue to help other owners of lost/stolen dogs. Thank you. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi I?m sorry to hear Bailey is missing.
Firstly, if not already done so, contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres? give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.
Please email admin@doglost.co.uk a photo of Bailey, putting his name and ID number if the subject heading.
If your dog is microchipped please let your company know and at the same time check that all details held are up to date.
Get postering now?.. CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. Posters can be printed from your dog?s page but you must be logged in to.
Someone local will try and make personal contact with you soon but should you require urgent help please phone admin who will pass on your details to your nearest available co-ordinator who is able to contact you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18 - 2010-02-16 16:12 Jo - Area Co-ordinator, Essex
- Text sent asking for confirmation of area and postcode, and also requesting a photo. I suspect this may be Thornhill in Southampton.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi I?m sorry to hear bailey is missing.
Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.., If you can go down there each day to check for your dog that is the best thing as they only have to hold a dog for 7 days before it can legally be rehomed or in some cases destroyed. It is also worth contacting the local police as if someone has found your dog they may well have contacted them.
email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo please if you haven?t already.
You can only print posters when you are signed in.
Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. make sure you offer a reward on the posters.
POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog.
Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, pet shops petrol stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, shopping centres, take away outlets, pubs, lamposts, caf?s, leisure centre?s,??.basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you.
Tell postman and binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? infact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly.
Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost and found and make sure you offer a reward!.
If you believe your dog has been stolen then it is very important you contact the police for a crime reference number?. And the postering publicity should have the aim of not only getting your dog home but making it too hot to handle.
keep going back to the place where your dog was last seen and leave something with their scent on it there. Cross posted to www.labradorforums.co.uk http://www.labradorforums.co.uk/ftopicp-1170167.html#1170167 Good luck xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
