- I am so pleased so see Merryn is now home, such a brave, clever girl to keep herself warm is sub zero temperatures. Knowing how greedy my Welshie used to be I'm sure it won't be long before she gets back to her usual body weight, with lots of TLC too. Stay safe now Merryn.x.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Fantastic news. Merryn is home. Stay safe now young lady. xx
Email from her owner. ---
Hi,
Merryn was reunited with us this morning, having survived 5x nights out, including -5degC on Tues night and -12degC on Wed night !
We had 3x sightings reported to us yesterday afternoon and I travelled back up to Aviemore last night. All 3x sightings were within a mile or two of where she went missing. Once the sun was up and warming the valley (about 10:30am, but it was still -7.5degC) I parked near one of the sighting locations and started calling for her - after about 20 mins I turned around and found her standing about 10ft from me.
She is well, but has lost over 2kgs in body weight in her time away (down from 13.85kg just a week before she went missing to just 11.65kg today). The vet was really surprised she survived last night and I doubt she would have survived tonight. Although sunny, the clear sky meant temperatures at Loch Morlich didn't get above -6degC today and way well plummet to -15degC or lower tonight.
Anyway, we have her home, she is OK and just needs to rest and build up her weight again.
Many Thanks, Nigel.
