What beautiful dogs, thoughts are with owners. Yet again, farmers feeling justified to kill whatever they find on their land, I am sure these dogs could have been caught rather than shot. As said already, at least he notified his actions so owners are not left wondering.

How could a farmer do such a thing!  Why couldnt he have tried to catch them. What a terrible waste of two beautiful dogs!

This is very sad news indeed that these two beautiful dogs have ended up being shot by a farmer, the only small thing is that this farmer obviously reported his actions to the authority and the owners have been able to grieve properly for their beautiful dogs, many other owners have never been told the fate f their pets. Rest in peace at the bridge Maverick & Sally xx

I am so very sorry to hear this. I understand farmers need to protect their flock, but could he not have watched a bit before shooting? My thoughts are with the family with their loss. Run free babies. Go play with my Binky kitty. She loves doggies. xx

Thank you for your well wishes & thanks to Owl for your help (sorry don't have your number to contact you personally). The Dog Warden has just visted us to inform us that our dogs were shot yesterday by a local farmer as he believed they were worrying his sheep on the common. The ironic thing is that our dogs have been running around our farm for the past few weeks whilst we have been lambing both out & in sheds on the yard & they have never been remotely interested in them. Perhaps they were very hungry after a week out under the stars. The only consilation I can find is that they aren't locked in or chained up somewhere scared & I can now put an end to the search & worry. Rest in peace both, thank you for your loving companionship.

'Mav' was running around on our farm with his other canine friends as he does everyday when he disappeared along with 'Sally' our Yellow Lab. We believe them to be stolen as they NEVER wander & know their way around the area very well. He is desperately missed, he is a stunning boy who is so loving & I keep expecting him to run up to the front door with his tail wagging. He is nervous with strangers particularly men, but he is very gentle.
