update on Bailey from SLR The good news is the leg isn't broken, but he does have some pretty extensive skin injuries that are going to need daily dressing changes, possibly under a GA, so not out of the woods yet, but now safely back home and being lovingly looked after Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oh dear, poor Bailey. Good news and bad news, eh? I do hope that the break isn't too bad and that he hasn't sustained any other injuries. As he's only a young dog, fingers crossed that he will make a full recovery but, in the meantime, I'm sending him a get well soon message.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just had a call to say that Bailey has been found this morning in a garden some miles from where he went missing. He has been hit by a car and has an injured leg, possibly broken and is on the way to the vets now. The homeowner called Sarah, Baileys mum, as he still had his collar and tags on. Fingers crossed that he will be OK, but at least he's now back with his familyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am the Homecheck Co-ordinator for Southern Lurcher Rescue and this dog is owned by a friend of mine. Unfortunately the two owners are not around for the next few days, one is abroard on business and the other needs to travel to attend a close family funeral today. However the dog sitter will be doing all she can. I am acting as a point of contact until they return. Bailey is a whippet bedlington crossed with another lurcher - he is small, I’m not sure exact height but not much past the knee. He was lost at about 4pm today (1st March) from Crown Wood in Bracknell, Berkshire when he ran away from the dogsitters house. He is scruffy brown and cream merle type blobs and a distinctive line of brown right down his forehead, he is normally quite shy with strangers. He is micro-chipped, full dog tag info and neuteredLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
