- There is a dog very simlar on the Rochdale Dog Rescue website called Lennox aged approx 5 yrs. Apparently he has been handed in due to change of circumstances. It could be that the new owners changed their mind and is well worth a look x

- Family contacted me a few weeks ago to say they had found out Rebel had been rehomed through a local Pound (this was one of the Pounds I stressed they must go and checked at least once a week). When I registered Rebel on DL I had only spoken to a family member and the owner never rang back after many requests for them to update the details. Rebel was CHIPPED and the details were out of date, the pound had sent a letter to the registered address which family received too late. Also the family did not want his name put on site, which may have helped them get him back (I had emailed posters out). This particular pound have reunited dogs through posters before. If owner had rung back I would of updated the details and knowing he was chipped told them to ensure they contacted the Chip Co. I've had a long discussion with the family and explained the pound have legally rehomed him after his 7 days. Things could of been a lost worse especially with the high amount of staffies in kennels and Rebel being over 6 years old. Rebel was TATTOOED but this must have been missed or was not readable as sometimes this does happen. Will contact the family to see how they got on with the pound as it is up to the pound to contact the new owner, they cannot give details to out. This is a sad case but emphasises the importance of contact the Chip Co. Jan x

- Thanks Angelita. Not had an update re the found one. Family did say they were going to contact the kennels. I've tried Halewood RSPCA myself when I had a chance but it was engaged each time and then it got too late to contact them. Will update if we get anymore news. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Any news? The local forum posting on Saturday said the dog was found at Southport station, wearing a red harness, no collar, well trained. They posted later saying the dog warden had collected him and he was microchipped but no further updates.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- 11.45 a.m. Spoken to family member for an update, there have been no sightings yet of him. There has been a report of a found Staffie with a harness on that has been handed into the DW, the details were on a local forum. I've given family details of which kennels the found dog would be taken to and they are going to contact them. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have spoken to family member and given local advice of who to contact and things to do. Photo received by mobile and uploaded. Stressed the importance of posters, which have not been getting distributed up to now. Will email further advice/info and do various size posters a.s.a.p. Fingers crossed he is found soon. Good luck.
