Sorry - could not update yesterday, but did hear back from owners who are working hard to find Pal, searching and spreading the word. Email received ;- I have notified and spoke w/ the local warden and forrestry commision.  We have also spoke w/ local kennels, etc. and they are keeping an eye out for us.  I did as you said w/ the nest area and the scenting, so hopefully if he is still in that area, he will find it.  There are so many farms near by mostly crops, but one livestock farmer I will call and let them know.  I will let the railway's know as well, I can call them here in a minute.   Pal is microchiped and does not have a collar on.  Please, let me know if there is anymore info. that you need.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to say the PFK volunteer walks her dog sometimes in the forest but does not live there-my mistake. As she says it IS a large forest so if we could be pm d the approximate location I am sure folk walking could maybe walk this route and keep an eye out?

Thanks muns. Sent poster to PFK. Texted owner re- missing details this morning but so far not heard back, but may have been at work. Have created an A4 poster and flyers and emailed to owner. Have also emailed general information sheets and scenting information, EA rescue centres, DW contacts for Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambs as on the borders rather, and also media contact numbers. Sent link to ANY UK VETS. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to owner and given scenting information and explained they need hundreds of posters. There was only one sighting early on, but nothing since, so dod probably gone to ground for a while or moved slightly further away trying to pick up owners scent and find food. Have got to be at work shortly but will email information through when I get home. Dog wardens and authorities informed but owner is only just starting to poster now, and quite a few days have already ben lost. Pal was orriginally a rescue dog, and is a  bit skittish, so wont go to anyone easily. He has lived with his owners two years so would definitely pick up on their scent.
