Went to Prospect Park to check on the posters today - the one on the tree by the car park has been removed ( so has Skye's - Lurcher) I decided not to replace it as they may not be keen on posters being pinned to the trees.  Carters Steam Fair were setting up in the park for the Easter weekend so I put smaller posters up at the entrances. I've also replaced some of the rain damaged posters near Tesco's but with all this horrible weather I doubt they will last long. The handwritten placards are still there so anyone driving past can't fail to notice that there is a missing dog. Hurry up and be found Mr Sniffer!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I put up a poster at Pets at Home in Reading yesterday. A very kind RSPCA volunteer has also offered to put Mr Sniffer's details onto the RSPCA (Maidenhead )website.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Did more postering today  -1 has been put up at Tilehurst Railway Station also put one on post just outside Waitrose. Went back to the area Mr Sniffer ran away from and postered Audley Street and a couple of Streets next to there. Also postered the play area next to Tesco's opposite Selco and the Housing estate. Backtracked along the Oxford Road and put a few more Posters on lamp posts. Then headed to Prospect Park to check if the posters were still up in the car park - they were, so decided to put even more up, this time at the entrances. I showed the missing posters to lots of people and also handed flyers out but no one seems to have seen Mr Sniffer - he seems to have vanished into thin air!  Most of the posters that have been put up at West Village Park were still there but the one's on the gates/rails by the play area have been removed  yet again. The one's outside Tesco's are still there.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You are right  -  the Tesco's area is Rg3 and not Rg2. Today I've painted some Missing placards for Mr Sniffer and have erected 2 of them so far. One is by the Selco Outlet near to Tesco's it's by the road on the grass verge and the other is close to the roundabout by Waitrose. I've done 3 more so will put them up hopefully tomorrow -just need to think about where will be best.  just hope someone soon see's one of the posters or placard that Shereen & I have put up.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No sign of Mr Sniffer whilst out and about today. Have noticed that the postcode area he went missing from is RG2??? Tesco & West Village are RG30. It was from here he went missing, was it?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If no one has done so, I will send Missing Posters to Binfield,Battersea, Diana Brimblecome & Dog Trust (Newbury)  Thought I would also send posters to Reading Dog Warden even though they are aware of Mr Sniffer it might be good to have a photo also a poster to the West Berkshire Warden. I have also put him as missing on the NPR. He has already been registered on Alfies Lost Dog by the owners sister. Great that you are contacting the newpapers Shereen. Fingers crossed he is back home soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just another thought - could someone perhaps help by  contacting the Rescue Centres including a photo of Mr Sniffer. Also what about the local newspapers The Reading Post or Chronicle could anyone see if they would be willing to do a write up as it may appeal to the public especially as he is a puppy. Unfortuantely I can't help for a few days as off to visit my mum but will be willing to do more next week.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to the dog warden about Mr Sniffer and she is still aware that he is  still missing. Have been postering the area so just to let you where it's been done so it isn't duplicated: left a poster at the showrooms at West Village Park, and also on some lamp posts in the development. A royal mail postie took one and said she would put it up in the sorting office. I spoke to a few people passing by but they hadn't seen Mr Sniffer. Went on to Tesco's - Shereen had been there and left one seconds before me so we had a nice chat. Put a poster in at Dairy Crest Distribution centre then postered by the traffic lights on the 2 railway bridges. The New Inn pub along from Tesco's took one also the Londis. Put 3 more up in Prospect Park also  Castle Vets&Valley Vets have a poster. Sent the hubby to poster Sulham Woods and although not near to the missing area people travel from all over Reading to walk their dogs there and it's a good dog walking communityLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I couldn't see any missing posters around the Tesco area - I think the area he went missing from is a new  housing development and is still being developed- there are still workers/builders there, have they been made aware of the missing dog? There are lots of other houses near by and also the main road into Reading so someone may have taken him in and not thought to report him to the warden. I will try my best to contact the owner tomorrow to see what else can be done.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
