This is just the saddest news. My sincere thoughts are with Ollies owners. No one could have tried harder here to get their dog back. Its a hard thing to say, but at least they have closure. They can bring him home. So many owners never know what has happened to their missing loved one, and that must be the hardest thing of all. Very well done to Flaggbag who was there for the owners , and she did her utmost to get this little boy home. Sleep in peace dear Ollie XLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just had a long conversation with little ollies owner, his body was found in a field today, not far  from  where everybody had been searching.. his lovely owners did everything they possibly could to try to find this little man, and loved him soo much...... atleast they now have closure and have taken him home where this wee little man belongs.... his owners wanted me to pass on all their thanks for our help and would  always help somone else if ever they were needed...... RIP dear little ollie im so sorry we couldnt find you in time..... safe journey to the bridge little man.............i wont forget you...................  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Possible sighting from driver at 9pm ish last night (Wednesday night) of a 'small, silvery animal' on the side of the road opposite Trade Plas, Nailsworth. We were out with the family searching til midnight and flyered cars and homes in the immediate area. Family out at first light this am with the new posters with 'Large reward' on them, while we covered the Selsley/Church Lane/Lawns Park area. Cycle path also covered and re-postered. Please keep a look out if driving the Bath Road A46 between Stroud and Nailsworth.... Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Out with Katie this morning from first light walking and listening in same area - Church Lane, Lawns Park, Rabbit Warren Wood and Selsley common, plus cycle path/Bath Road. This area has been well covered and we have done thorough searches of many gardens, stables, outhouses and graveyard. Possible whining heard by ponds but nothing found. Now concentrating efforts on leafleting supermarket carparks and revamping posters with 'Large Reward' on them. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Woodchester and Selsley well postered now and flyers left on dog walkers' cars. Family is postering further afield and also other commons in Stroud to catch dog walkers. Some unidentified yapping heard in Church Lane by a few people so a concentrated search is being carried out there for Ollie in case he is now too weak/injured to move. Anyone living in Lawns Park, Selsley Road, Church Lane, The Headlands or on Selsley Hill please search their properties including outhouses/stables etc thoroughly. Thank you. We are continuing to look for Ollie throughout the day.....Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We were out helping owners til 5ish last night (Monday) and there has been a probable sighting of Ollie in Rabbit Warren Wood, below Castle Cottage which is off Selsley Hill at 4pm Sunday afternoon. This is between Selsley Common and Lawns Park where he was also seen so hopefully he is staying in this area. We will be out again with the owners at 6am tomorrow, Tuesday, to continue searching. Anyone who can is welcome to join in and we will be parked at end of Church Lane (no through road) at 6am. We have put flyers through the doors of every house around the immediate area and postered too. Both Stroud Life and Stroud News and Journal should be putting in bit in about him too...Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
