this lad looks like a german shepard look, except he is very shaggy and black long haired,he seems very road aware and he may live locally but he seemed to know where he was going so hopefully he will get home safeLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for adding this one Jayne, I wasn’t sure where to post it. To add some details: Dog was of a Belgian Shepherd (Tervuren) type, but possibly black GSD. Long, feathered coat. Greying muzzle. Road wise (knew to keep on hard shoulder), on A6195, Dearne Valley Parkway, heading in direction of M1, on section of carriageway running alongside Jump and Hoyland. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl Dog was attempting to get up the embankment to fencing leading to Jump / Hoyland area, but bank was steep so it continued along hard shoulder and was clearly looking for other escapes. No visible collar, sex unknown. I did pull car in and attempt to make contact but dog ignored me and kept on in same direction.                      Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
