- I have just had the very sad news that Ava was found dead in a ditch on Wednesday evening not far from home. She must have been in a RTA. Ava's owners worked so hard spreading the word, getting publicity and searching for their girl, I am gutted for them that she has not made it safely back home. They are trying to take the closure as some consolation but the time since she went missing has just been awful for them. Despite this they'd like to pass on their thanks for the help offered by DogLost and helpers and are so kindly going to make a donation to help us continue to help others. THANK YOU. Run free at the bridge in the sunshine Ava. x x xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- What news, and is there going to be a 'search party'? I'm now living in CO6 so only half an hour's drive, and I have some time this week so could come down to help. Could area co-ords put me back on the email database please, as I never get any notice of dogs lost in the area now. When exactly was Ava sighted on the A12 (a very very busy road...)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Ava disappeared from home, she wandered out of the back door and didn't return home. Owners live in a rural area and are doing their utmost to find Ava and spread the word. Word spread locally with farmers, pubs etc, all relevant places vets, councils, police contacted. Posters gone up locally and continue to be added to. Owner going to try and get some local press and radio coverage. Substantial reward offered for Ava's return. She is very much missed and I know her owners would appreciate any help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Sorry to see Ava is missing. If you have not done so already, contact Westend Kennels on 01449 737641. They are in Suffolk but kennel the strays found in Colchester and Tendring boroughs of Essex. If possible it is worth visiting in person to check your girl is definitely not there. I'll be in touch too with some further local contact numbers and places to try etc. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
