So sorry to read that this dog is now at Rainbow Bridge having been on it's own for it's last few days or longer.  Thank you to all the kind people who have been trying to catch it and yes, what goes around comes around to the 'owners' responsible for not getting it treated and turfing it out.  At least now sweetie, no more pain and suffering.  Run free.x.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to hear the sad news about this dear dog, I hope the 'person' who dumped it instead of doing the right thing for the dog will get their just desserts. What goes around comes around.   RIP little  dog.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This poor Greyhound was caught today. It was taken to a vet but sadly was pts as it was riddled with cancer. RIP sweatheart.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sad news I think...my teenage son took a message earlier today but has only just told me (8.20pm).  Someone telephoned our house to say that the greyhound had been caught and taken to the vet for examination.  I think the growth turned out to be cancer and the dog was PTS.    Rest in peace at Rainbow Bridge sweet hound.  Sorry your last days were spent lost, alone and running scared.  Thank you to all of you out there who tried to help him/her.     Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It is a place called Weston Hills - quite a rural area but away from the busy A16.  I have had a quick scout round on the way home from work and will go out again later on.  I have Queenie's number so will give her a call as well in case it has been sighted this afternoon. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've just had an update from Queenie via a 3rd party that hound appears to have headed back to the western hills and someone there is feeding it but can't catch it. Please can searchers find out latest, Ashmark has relevant phone numbers. As I don't know the area that well I'm not sure what is meant by western hills, so I'm just passing on the message I had.

Husband and I have both spent some more time looking for this hound - no sign of it.  Its very wet weather here and we are both really worried for its safety and welfare.  Will look again tomorrow after work. I hope it shows itself to someone soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oh Calbet, I wish you the best of luck. We have two greyhounds and know how nervous they are. We live in Hertfordshire so we're too far away to be of any proper help. Please keep us informed. I so hope this little one is rescued safe and well. I've been so worried checking to see if there any updates. Good Luck, Stay safe litttle one. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Calbet has just called me. She is going out again now to see if she can see the greyhound. She is a Greyhound owner and understands the breed. She is aware of how to approach the dog and has offered to look after it when caught. She is taking her camera in the hope that she can get close enough to take a picture. Thank you Calbet your help is much appreciated.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I hope the man is able to gain this poor dog's trust and can catch it so it gets the treatment it probably needs and deserves.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This Greyhound was seen being dumped this morning. It is terrified and just runs if approached. It appears to be a middle aged dog and has a large growth on it's underside. No-one is able to get close enough to tell if it is male or female. It is in a very rural location and the man who saw it lives close by. He has been asked to set up a feeding station for the poor dog. The telephone number on the poster is mine and I will pass on any info that comes forward.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
