Thank you but I don't think it is Nell, the coat is not long enough and it's too dark, Nell was more fox red ... but thank you for thinking about her ... she's always in my mind x

PembrokeMadhouse a video of this dog and the dog she was found with was put online yesterday, showing this dogs gradual recovery with the foster carer, she is being cared for by, until rehomed. That will show markings better. I can't find the video now but followed a link to it from this website. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

thank's Kat, but I think it's unlikely to be Nell, Nell was chipped twice to the rescue she was fostered from, I think this dog has not enough white on her to be Nell, would be nice to see a "clean" picture of this dog though. Nell has very little white on the back paw but this dog has a white foot ... Nell would be ten years old now :( x

feeling a bit disheartened today.  Loads of sightings yesterday but nothing today.... I am scared for her safety, as it is lambing season.  The weather has closed in so I can't walk up the hills.....  Please say some prayers.  C xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

been out, but nothing... called and called, and whistled and whistled as you do!  I hpe she will pick up our scent and think it is okay to stay in the area... if she moves on then she will be lost.... If we have another siting in the same area, I will move the trap to that area... C xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

PembrokeMadhouse, I am down near Carmarthen but my dog and I will help if we can get up to you. Car is in garage tomorrow for a repair, unfortunately. Will give you a call tomorrow. Meanwhile, can you put something with Nell's scent on e.g. blanket or toy, into a plastic bag to save her scent?

Great idea Spindle. How does she get along with other dogs? Maybe if you take another dog she might come out to play? You might also want to start scenting if you have an idea which part of the mountains she might be in. I completely understand what you mean about the mountains. I had lived in mountains for about 17 years and they are certainly something to be respected. Have you contacted the area farms? Let them know also that she has gotten out and is very nervous and afraid of people especially men. Good luck. I only wish I could be closer to help you look for her. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Various size posters were emailed to foster carer earlier this afternoon, have also emailed them to Shirley4collies, Co-ordinators Goldenfrodo and Spindle.  A trap is being taken and advice has been given as to when this should be used, at the moment they do not know where Nell is, the area is very rural.  Once the posters start getting spread in the area the calls will start coming.  Carer has only had her two weeks and Nell is that nervous she will not take food from them.  If anyone is able to help spread the word and poster or send to anyone else who can help please let us know and various size posters can be emailed to you.  Thanks.  Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This dog is extremely nervous and anxious and was on foster from a rescue.  She will hide rather than come to you... will not take treats from you.  If cornered she may bite, certainly a man, but may be more trusting of a woman.  She ran off to the mountains.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
