- I wish the bitch and her pup could stay together. She's had such a rough time, so many changes - it would be reassuring for her to stay with her pup.

- What great news. I see it as theft, rape and terribly upset owners. any idea what nationality the dog-napper is? Can u say? I know in my area there are dog-nappers known to the police and RSPCA, as well as 'permanent' traveller sites where I've heard of dogs being returned with a 'no cash no dog' condition. If only the police had more power to go in there, like the Sussex police, and seize these poor doggies. Maybe it needs a member of the public to report 'unusal canine activity' - before the police will investigate. Well done C.J. I think your area has more activity than the midlands, but I may well be wrong.

- So pleased these dogs have been found but also so angry with thief/thieves. Makes my blood boil that they have been used for breeding. Hope a stern punishment is given out. Lets hope all the dogs are back with their owners soon.
Can't wait to see a reunited pic of Buddy and maybe the other dogs when it is ok to do so on here xLast edited: 2011-11-20 20:09:18 by BBKM - 2011-11-20 19:21 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
- One of the other dogs has been claimed.
That leaves a liver and white ESS and h a 10ish week old pup probably bred from Buddy. I am asking if allowed to put on site but as a police case i cannot until get permission. - 2011-11-20 15:14 Neighbark
- ...re the other 3 dogs found (presumably all stolen), if they are not micrchipped, is there some way a picture and description could be sent out to all dog=stray websites? The thought of other people still relentlessly searching for these dogs, is awful. I think u have my email at head office if u prefer to reply to me there. N
- 2011-11-20 15:09 Neighbark
- Thanks C.J. - that's really good to hear. If only the whole country's police force could unite in this massive project...and every dog could be microchipped!! Oh - do u have any news at all about the other 3 dogs found? Were they microchipped? Will they now be under the 7 day rule? ...and how were they treated?
- 2011-11-20 09:38 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
- I WILL ASK FOR A REUNITED PICTURE.
Just for the records re police forces after we started working with KENT police we now are pleased to say that in the south east we now work with ( IE helping , matching and assisting ) Sussex police- Thames Valley- Metropolitan and meeting very soon with Essex to add to the list.
These forces are realising the advantage using the site plus out data base and experience in dealing with missing dogs and we are also to share stolen ones among the forces so that they are aware of crimes outside their areas.

- Update from yesterday - this dog is not Buddy - I am sorry. Following contact with our local Vets this dog is local, and I now have the owners mobile number, so if we see it again we can phone the owner straight away.
So hope that even after all this time Buddy and you are one day reunited. - 2011-10-24 22:34 Sheba Honey
- I appreciate this is a long time after Buddy went missing, and the two sightings we have are in very poor light well away from Plumpton in the Peacehaven/Newhaven area, but we have seen a 'tall' (labrador size) springer type dog twice in the last three days running loose, we think it is the same dog. Sat 22.10.11 about 10.30pm dog came from South side of A259 just outside newhaven and ran across road towards the Augustfields development, then this morning at 6.30am a loose dog looking like the Saturday night one came from the field behind The Bricky off Pelham Rise in Peacehaven, saw me and my GSD and turned round and went back into the field. Despite looking for the dog I could not find it. The two sightings are about a mile and a half ish apart across the fields as the crow flies.
Appreciate this is a real 'long shot', but hope this may help someone.
Really hope that one day Buddy and you are reunited. - 2011-09-02 22:43 Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
- COPIED FROM A POST ON 32206
Apologies for posting here as unlikely to be connected to this case but may be relevant to other lost spaniels. Some travellers were evicted from a site just outside Brighton a few months ago & were camped out in parks all over the city. They were selling puppies mainly jack russells but someone has told me they were also selling pedigree spaniels.x - 2011-07-21 23:59 scootjockey
- I really wish you and Buddy were back together like you used to be.Buddy will be so proud your his dad and that after all this time your still pro-active searching for him. I pray your hope and determination bring him home Good luck and best wishes.gail.xx

- 2011-06-30 22:56 doglady
- Have posters been sent to Plumpton Collage? they do have a dog grooming school there and they would be able to put the word out.

- I have asked that Buddy goes into the Brilliant Working Dog Newspaper 'Countryman's Weekly'
Although Buddy is a Sprocker I have put his breed as a ESS as hopefully when looking for a dog of this discription he will found more easily, I would think.
I have bumped his page because of the change.Last edited: 2011-06-30 19:53:12 by Reynard - 2011-02-22 14:19 Reynard
