Just had the best email with the fantastic news that Folly is HOME!!!!! After being missing for 6 weeks, Folly’s owner’s daughter got a call from a man who had found Folly 2 weeks previous. He’d then seen the posters of Folly in a neighbouring village whilst working – poster power again as he wasn’t from the immediate area and Folly certainly had some ‘help’ on her travels before he found her as she was some distance away. She was in a pretty poor state when the man found her but he’s cared for her and did a great job in the 2 weeks, improving her condition. Thank you so much that man! I am just so pleased Folly is home, and well done to her owner, who worked so hard searching and postering. Yiipppppppeeeeeeeee!!!!

Sadly no confirmed sightings. The owners have had a few calls of possible sightings nearby, which they have followed up speaking to locals and postering all around but so far nothing definite. They are really postering far and wide, spreading the word and have many people looking so are doing great. Just waiting for that all important call to come. Hopefully it won't be long now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Shirley. I'll also add her to my Essex Doglost group shortly. Folly is missing from nr Finchingfield, Essex which is a very rural area. She was outside in the fields but then didn't come back in. She's very elderly and doesn't wander far. Her owner, who sounds an amazing 81 year lady on the basis of what she's done so far already in her search, then went looking but no sign. The next day she searched again and found the red coat Folly was wearing on the floor unzipped. Folly could not have got out of the coat herself, someone certainly helped and so now she is believed to have been stolen (this has been reported to the Police). The last sighting of Folly was between Little London and Cornish Hall End on the Sunday afternoon. Owner has contacted dog warden, police, vets, press etc. Posters also gone to postman so he can distribute these on his rounds and the word is being spread around the village and beyond. Folly is deaf and has limited sight as has cataracts. She is also incontinent. Please any help to get this elderly girlie back home will be very much appreciated.....please spread the word!  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
