I myself didn't venture over that way so many thanks in taking those posters down :) I wasn't aware people were causing problems with the traps. Oh well. I suppose it's bound to happen everywhere. Just wish those people crawled inside and got locked in. When Georgie and I collected Georga from the warden, she said it took over an hour to collect as she wouldn't approach anybody and kept running around, but she was eventually caught in Walton Leigh Recreation Ground, Row Hill, Nr Addlestone on Sunday at 5pm. It took the warden a while to go through the backlog of other lost dogs and eventually get to Georga where the microchip traced her to Georgie, which is why the warden called and notified Georgie at midnight. Georgie and I left Georga with Chris (Dobermann Rehoming Association) yesterday around mid-day. I haven't really seen or spoken to Georgie properly since but I hope to soon to find out what's happening.

I took down some 'lost' signs that were up yesterday at edge of Swinley - also took one about the people who caused problems with traps... didn't realise till I got it home...so if you wanted that to stay up then you will need to replace, but I'm guessing that now that Georga is safe then it won't matter any more... How did the dog warden actually manage to catch her in the end? Was it in one of the traps? I am also assuming that she has checked out ok with the vet? So very happy for you x

Hi all! I'm so happy for both Georgie and Georga! Georgie text me on Sunday evening saying Georga had been found and I went along with Georgie to collect her from Runnymede B.C. We then headed back to West End to drop Georga off with Sue who was then going to take her along to the vets. Poor George was so so tired... not surprising really. Georgie and I dismantled and removed the two traps from Brentmoor Road. Georgie replaced a couple of "Lost" posters with "Thankyou" ones and lastnight, I popped into the couple of pubs and the M&S Petrol Station on the A322 to tell them all she had been found. I then went and replaced the "Lost" posters with "Found. Thankyou" ones, which I have asked to be left up for a week so other people know she has been found! Such a relief and thank you to EVERYBODY for going out of their way to co-ordinate and provide their time and efforts in locating Georga. I met a few people over the last couple of days, especially Chris and Sasha :)

Will be interesting to hear exactly where she was found as, unless I am mistaken, Runnymead is some distance from where we have been over the weekend. Were we seeing the wrong dog? (There is one missing from Blackwater that could possibly have made its way to where we were.) 2 great tings this morning then! A doglost website i can use in Firefox... and Georgia is safe and well. Collecting her as soon as the kennels open and then to a vet for a once over. I had hoped to have a lay in for a bit because of the severe lack of sleep recently but Alex woke me up by accident.. so now i have to wait an awake 3 hours to go get her which is torture!!! This must be how kids feel waiting for santa!!!!! I cant thank everyone enough for the help that has appeared from dog lost and also the doberman rehoming association.. I have been utterly overwhelmed by it. Its allowed me keep what little sanity i have and still know shes being looked for and enableing me to still get on with things my end (not that my bitch i mated appreciated it!!) I will be taking the posters down over the next few days so any help is appreciated but i will be replacing a few with a Thankyou note as i have so many people calling me and asking me if and when we find her. Also need to contact the police.. various wardens... etc to let them know that she is no longer terrorizing the streets! In regards to what happens next with her... i am not sure. She will stay with me for as long as she needs to settle back in to being a spoilt loved woof and by then i dont know if i could ever let her go.. an epic fail as a foster home i feel! I have text her owners (midnight last night) saying we now have her and i got a "thanks" in return. Traps will need to make it home so i'll again sort that out in the week or weekend depending on how much time i have. i'll try to get most of the goo and liver off them before i bring them back!!! It took me about 2 hours to calm down and stop shaking last night (much to the annoyance of my other half) but just totally in shock!

Well - I am very happy to say that a call just before midnight from the Runneymead dog warden who was checking the doglost site has put us all out our misery, Georga is safe having been picked up at about 5.30 om after giving the warden the run around for hours, Georgie will e able to pick her up this morning around 10am I think so I ma sure that she will update us further. Every single person on the ground who has postered and searched a massive thank you to you all. Georgie has to collect the traps today and then the mammoth task of poster removal must commence so if you can colect any that you see please. Georgie has indicated that she will be making a donation to doglost which will be very welcome and help us to contiune out work in supporting owners and reuniting dogs with their owners, so THANK YOU.

It's now 11:27pm and I have just got back after meeting Georgie and Chris at the location. As Georgie mentioned... we think she may have moved on from that area now but neverless the traps have been re-set. Before I headed home, I drove around few of the local roads as they wrap around the fields but no sign at all. I also drove down to the Sainsbury's in Knaphill on the off chance, but again... nothing at all. I work in Woking and so on my way home tomorrow afternoon, I'll be stopping by Sainsbury's and other outlets on the main A322 to drop off more posters. At the rate Georga has been moving and the amount of ground she has been covering, the posters need to be put up as far as practically possible (e.g. West End, Chobham, Bisley, Knaphill) and then maybe onto the outskirts of Woking and Guildford. But as the locals know, that is a HUGE area. However, now the local dog warden has been informed, this helps us out a lot. I will however speak to Woking B.C. tomorrow to inform them that Georga could quite possibly venture into Woking territory as she's already on her 2nd/3rd county.

re microchipping. The day she ran off i called the company and alerted them to this and that i had just got here that they have my details on file now. They write a letter to the old owners to confirm this but if there isnt  reply in 28 days it automatically changes over to me.   Just back in from the last check of the night. Damo was still there when i left as he wanted to do  final walk round but traps have all been reset and baited.   As a note though.. where these traps are its now 25 mins away from me and not somewhere i can check with great amount of ease.  Are there people who are more local who are able to check on them more regularly. I dont mind going back and forth but the up early and out late is really taking its toll on me. Gut feeling says shes moved and no where near the area now. havign looked at the satilite map there are so many places she could be now as fields back on to more and more fields. flyers are up everywhere for miles, everyone knows about her. Had 3 calls today on her but they were all for sightings yesterday.

Hi Sandobes.  It was good to meet you and your two beautiful dobies today.  It really brought home to me just how small Georga is.  Might be worth mentioning this on posters and on any other communication. Let's hope today was her day of rest and that tomorrow brings some sightings.

It was me and OH with two black dobes and we spent several hours walking around and handed out quite a lot of flyers to people up on the heath - some were happy to take few to give to friends.  I will tonight email / fax anyone I can find - if they already know never mind they've had a reminder. Come on Georga show yourself so we can get you safe again.

Today could have been a rest day for Georga after her running for such a long way yesterday so we may see more movement from her tomorrow, until there is another sighting then traps need to be re-baited with fresh food and more posters up in every direction again. Everyone on the ground is doing such a great job - keep it going, also on your travels please keep an eye out for new listing Teddy 22282  he is a Chi x Terrier missing in Bracknell

Cheryle... That is good Chris knows the dog warden for Surrey Heath B.C. Saves Georgie or myself contacting them tomorrow. Many thanks for that! BonBon... I was the probably the only person on the hunt without a dog, let alone a Doberman. I don't know much about dogs but Georgie is a very good friend of mine and having local knowledge of the area of where she was last seen does have its uses. The idea of notifying local vets/wardens is a good one. I'll run that past Georgie to see if it is something she has already done. As for the microchipping... I'd have to check that with Georgie too. We are SOOO close. Just hope she is still around the area because even though she has managed to get from Windsor to West End, via Bracknell, there have been more sightings in a small area in that part of West End than there has been of other places... I think.

Just had another thought.  To whom is she microchipped?  Is it still the previous owner?  If so, it would be a good idea to get it changed into Georgie's name so that immediate contact can be made if Georga is captured.

Hi DevilDamo.  Shame we didn't get to meet you this afternoon but apart from the two couples mentioned in my previous post, along with Chris (whose name I couldn't remember) we didn't see anyone.  It is obviously difficult to know in which direction Georga has gone, assuming she has moved on and not just laying low.  Whilst it cannot be ruled out that she hasn't headed back in the Bracknell direction, it is possibly more likely that she has gone futher into Surrey.  Would perhaps be a good idea to send poster and explanatory letter to all the vets and dog wardens in the surrounding area so that they are aware of her.   Some posters along the A322 in both directions may also be a good idea, particularly if she is heading in the Guildford direction.  Fingers crossed for another sighting soon. from Chris Dobermann Rehoming Association - I have checked the traps at 6am this morning . nothing had been disturbed, no sign of Georgia ... returned at 11.30 am and met Chris and friends and also Sandra and her husband from Dobermann Rehoming Assocition . the trap by the 5 bar gate , has had the meat removed and also the front door removed, so obviously somebodys dog had got in there. other trap by lrge fence and MOD land still intact , and not sprung... have contacted surrey heath dog warden , who is a personl friend, and aso the out of hours kennnels .. asking them to contact me if a dobermann arives with them i also know these people ....

It's now just before 6pm and I haven't long been back myself. I arrived at West End 2:20pm. I handed out a couple of posters to a couple of neighbours. I also met Chris (with the brown Doberman) and a couple who had two black Doberman's. I scouted the area including the area Georga was last seen by us lastnight but no luck. I walked down some of the roads off Brentmoor Road putting more posters up on posts, etc... and handed some more to some local residents and the riding school (Fenns Nursery) who own a lot of land over there for the dogs/horses. I also handed a poster to the pub on the main road (A322), which is called The Inn and another poster to the petrol station on the opposite side, which is an M&S station. Georgie had other matters to attend to this morning and earlier this afternoon but she did arrive around 4:30pm. We stayed for an hour or so before leaving. Georgie's going to head back down that way later as is Chris. If I'm needed, I'll also pop down again. As for the Berkshire Rescue. I don't "think" they will be able to assist at this present time as Georga has made it out and away from Berkshire and into the county of Surrey (Surrey Heath B.C.) and VERY close to the Woking B.C. border. I spoke to Woking B.C. yesterday and they confirmed West End does come under Surrey Heath. Upon searching their website, their dog warden company is called "Dogbusters" who are only contactable via the Surrey Heath switchboard, which isn't much use on a weekend or out of office hours. So I or Georgie will look at getting in contact with Surrey Heath/Dogbusters tomorrow. We have not received any calls today of any possible sightings.

16.10 Just returned home having spent a couple of hours with PaulaK walking all around the area where she was seen yesterday.  Met a couple who had travelled from Crawley and a couple who had come from Reading and another man but no sign of the girl herself.  Can only hope she shows herself to someone very soon resulting in a call to point us in the right direction.

Hi. New to this site and a good friend of Georgie's. Just an update to this record... Georgia was last seen around Rounce Lane/Birch Platt off Brentmoor Road, West End on Saturday 10th April at 10:15pm. I will be printing off more flyers and handing them to local residents and I will be carrying out a search this afternoon, from around 1:30/2pm'ish.

Mountain Bikes, Wellies and long sleeved shirts are the order of the day in that area. There is an area where youngsters do mountain bike type motocross opposite the boys school so might be worth trying to recruit a few sets of young legs to cycle aroung the area with posters and flyers.  I have to work now this afternoon so wont be able to get back to help but will keep updating anything news by text

When I spotted Georga @ 12.15pm, at the very end of Brentmoor Road, she was Lying down, I stopped the car crawled low throwing food but she got up and walked off in the direction of a boggy impassable small path running along side of the Military shooting range.  I called Sandie to let her know and to ask for backup.  I then stayed close by until help arrived.  Some of us were on foot and some drove around the block of the marshland area, we were lucky in the fact that she stayed close, but the roads around the area were treacherous, 4x4?s struggled.  I gave various members of the public (who were on bikes) my mobile number and received calls of sightings to give us new leads  We had many sightings ourselves and walked many miles around and through the woods/marshland often ankle deep in gunge! She came close quite a few times, but when she spotted us she trotted off in the opposite direction. She then managed to get through the barbed wire into a field the middle of the marshland, one of the helpers sat at the side of the field close to her and made whimpering noises, Georga then laid down to rest.  Kaye & I walked opposite ends of the field to try and coax her.  When I got within about 20 feet I sat down and waited.  Threw food around me, she spotted me, got up and walked past me, too far to throw a lead etc and not interested in the food.  She is in some discomfort with her hind leg and waddles ? she does not want to be caught, and she is obviously afraid of Humans. I think the only chance is when she gives up under exhaustion.  I came home at 5.30pm to see to my old boy Boxer, as the next shift were on their way.  The consolation is she stayed in the same area all day, so may favour this.  There are places of running water ? but sadly no obvious food sources.   Gutted than we came so close so many times, bit didn?t have the means to catch her L  Good luck to the next team x

She is evidently trying to 1) scare the fecal matter out of me and 2) give me a nervous breakdown! After we had set the other trap, Viv Everard came out to show us where she had been seen, traps all set and we were standing under a street lamp by our cars chatting and i saw her trotting past us and in total shock just about managed to get the words "shes behind you" out to which she just casually trotted past us. Shot doesnt even begin to cover this! ha. we got down low and started whimpering and she stopped in her tracks and looked at us, started to come towards us and i started rolling dog food towards her. Then a car came down the road and started her and she ran in to a side dirt track named "birch platt" or "rounce lane" we instantly set off on foot to find her but were somewhat under equipt with torches (i am so buying one of those massive 500 candlelight ones today) and after that point other than seeing a few fox's we saw nothing. I got Ruby out and she put her nose down and dragged me across the green where we had seen her go and down Birch platt and in to the farm yard at the end. Lights were still on and i could see people so i opted out of having the police called for tresspassing. There were loads of little barns and shelters there so i can only assume she found somewhere warm. I dropped a flyer in to the pub and my plan is to go out now and put flyers though all the houses. I knocked on a few last night but for some reason my white transit van so gives off the wrong impression of me! I assure you i am not here to set up camp in your garden! We came across another dog walker and obviously told him and he is on the look out for. Last check of traps was at 11.30 after we thought we heard one of the doors go.. and as a highlight of the evening we had joked about being quiet incase someone called the police and low and behold we were were on our way back from our final check a (driving down from the double gates and MOD land) we have blue flashing lights appear so we stop. Some crazed policey man runs at the passenger door and grabs it open... then i assume realising Viv isnt the assailant they are after ask us if we have seen anyone on the lane and then we just let them past. Combine that with the stalker dog that is taunting us a change of underwear was required all round.
on a side note though, when she trotted past she didnt seem lame.. but she was pacing. One of my girls does it annoyingly and apparently its something left over from the wolf days where its a much less energy consuming way to run.. but she didnt seem to be limping. If she was sore on back then it wasnt obvious to us. So maybe this pain is coming and going for her.. or she can tollerate it at times and other times not. Enough chatter.. time to get out and freeze for a bit!

Putting some thoughts down having looked at a map again.  Assuming Georgie isn't/wasn't able to follow her and doesn't see her again tonight and bearing in mind she travelled from the Lookout over last night, could she be trying to make her way back there?  Only a thought and probably not relevant but thought it worth mentioning.  Carole

8.35pm just got back myself - The team on the ground have done very well today - Georga has been sighted by helpers who go to within 8 foot of her at times but she always managed to move off despite showing signs of injury to her back leg. The area that she has been in should hopefuly be a bit safer for her if she stays put as there is loads of cover in the way of broom and trees. there are plentiful puddles to drink from too. We managed to get permission from a house on Brentmoor Road to place the trap in their garden close to the last sightings, it has been baited with more sardines & pilchards so hope that she will take the food and go in tonight.

Hi, just got back from Brentmoor road no sightings , posted leaflets on the telegraph posts and called at houses along Brentmoor road .. whilst we were there travelled along Priest Lane with the 4x4 left doglost cards with the owners of the propertes along that road just incase anyone see's Georga... called in at Purbright Camp and left details of Georga  they will circulate her details to the guy's who patrol the mortar ranges and any sightings will let Geogie know.... 18.40  Spent several hours at site this afternoon along with several other helpers.  Managed to see her twice but she is running scared despite possibly carrying an injury.  Can't get back again tonight but will return tomorrow if she is still on the run.  Just hope she stays in the same area.

This is exactly where we were searching for Lulu (GSDxcollie) on Thursday, now happily reunited. Masses of places Georga could hide but also loads of dog walkers who may spot her. tis Brentmoor Rd Westfield Village on way to Woking/Chobham area Brentmoor Heath nature reserve, have just walked round there put up flyers and handouts to people walking. the postman saw her cross the road about 8am nr Gordons Boys School and she was sighted at 9.05. No one has seen her since.  She can get across the M3 without actually going the motorway itself. Obviously her little bump yesterday hasnt hurt her too much, shes travelled quite a way overnight! People out now posting flyers and asking about.

Since speaking with Sandie a short while ago, I have checked the maps and I think this should read Brentmoor Road, not Brettmore.  Shame she has moved out of the area and she must be moving at a very fast pace.  Good news about the M3.  Now just wonderingt if she will try to double back and attempt to cross it again!

SIGHTING THIS MORNING AT 9.05AM a long way outside her normal area but motorist who called in confirmed droopy teats so it must be her. WESTFIELD VILLAGE on Brettmore Road outside Gordons Boys School, she was seen trotting along the hedgerow, looks in good health, skinny but ok. Sightings yesterday she was approaching people eating food so she is starving - make sure you have some smelly food and a slip lead with you.

This evenings atempta mapping has been slightly harder as i have just had a migraine come on and it affects my vision! nice! So please excuse any major typos as i am replying on me being able to touch type!   The post code to the tescos in question (Martins Heron) is RG12 9TZ, The has been spotted on "new forrest road" which is the long road which takes you out to the look out. It seems she will run down to "bog lane" and go in to the woods there and end up round the back of the look out   This is an updated map for the last 3 days. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4053/4506490020_16be698895_o.jpg sorry about the really crappy markings but its hit and miss with what i can see!  She has also been spotted by the roundabout outside Bracknell north Tescos (warfield) by the roundabout along Country lane and heading towards the park which is a park again, the name escapes me but it is off Warfield road. This however has been reportedby 2 people.   Other roads of mention are London road, this leads from Bracknell directly in to Ascot, she has been seen on thsi road a number of times expeially by the harvster pub and the roundabout by the mercedes garage. This roundabout  also has "long hill road" off it and tescos down the other end. Up long hill road there is a small roundabout which  with 3 exsits. One is Harvest ride she has been seen traveing in the woods ajcent to the road there and out the bottom of the park and also this leads in to Lilly hill park. She has been reported there but unrill recently i thought they were the same park.  :( Lilly hill park backs on to the Bracknell Rubgy club training grounds.   I am going to try to print more of the flyers off (printer toner low now!) and will leave them with Richard who is currenty on an all night stake out with his woof. I have reset the trap up in Tescos as once again last night at 12.30 she was seen around there. The securty guards are pretty good and have said they will call any tme if they see her.   Swinly forrest is another one to look in. There is a path that i beliive goes all the way around and she is seemingly more likey to stick to paths than go in to forrst.   Sadly i havent had any more sightings since she was knocked by hte van. This happened at about 5pm this efternoon. My phone is on and on loud just incase as i have been often getting a few calls from the local yoof after midnight.   My phone is on with me all day so any questions please call.

Have just spoken to Georgie She has been sited at The Lookout, obv looking for food as shes around the picnic area near the Go Ape climbing centre. She has also been bowled over by a van! They just caught her and she rolled over but got up straight away and ran off, this was before she was seen at the Lookout though so hopefully no damage.

Have just returned from another lengthy drive around the areas already mentioned but no sighting at all.  However, lots of kids around atm so she is probably staying under cover.  Is it known if she has been taking a sort of 'regular' route?  Georgie did a map a while back showing where she had been seen.  Is it possible for this to be updated to show the most recent?  Also, are the pipe workers still around at the top of Priory Road and, if so, are they aware?  Site looks as though it is still operational but no sign of anyone when I have driven passed.  Let's hope we can get this girl home. I was out from 7 till 3 yesterday, not even a glimpse! Lots of shes here, shes there but by the time I got there, she'd gone. Had lengthy conversation with 2 guys who almost ran her over in the morning, they were on the look out for her most of the day too, also a breeder friend of mine came down to help but no joy. Lots of people were asking if we'd found her yet, seems she is well known in the area now. Any sightings this morning? I am unable to look today as am away this weekend, but lots of offers from some forum friends of mine. Am taking my laptop with me so will be able to keep up with whats going on. Come on Georga xxx

just thinking out loud can the owner not come down and spend a couple of nights in the area possibly staying with someone local .... or in a B&B ...  then when we get a sighting of her they can be on hand to try and catch her, If you still have the collar how about putting it in the trap may be a familiar scent.... just a thought...

Just back in from another fun night of "have you seen my dog" etc. shes been spotted in some new places tonight but this also means i need to get more posters up. Who ever put up the Doglost posters with the tabs with telephone numbers on is a total GENIUS!! they are Brilliant and when i saw them it made me smile.. not something i have done much of today.   Sandy is correct.. today i recieved a call from a warden somewhere to come and collect the trap. Apparently i am not allowed to put "live bait" traps on council land. After a further conversation with someone who keeps calling to see if we have her yet she said she over heard some old biddies moaning about it being there (off the road, away from public, half in a bush) and apparently it was poisned meat in there even though right behind them there was a poster  about her... and more annoyingly it seems the one i put on the cage had gone.
These are the kind of people that i wish the 7 plagues on as because of them the council are aware of what i am doing now and will be twats and hinder my every move. However. traps back at Tescos tonight. Baited and ready to go. Ruby was in the van squeeking loads to get out and nom on all the goodies i had stashed!
Tonight she has been seen further than she has ever been seen before...but she was spotted a little while ago heading back in direction of tescos. She approached a boyfriend of a friend of mine while he was on a walk but as she didnt have a colar he couldnt grab her but he then spent a while looking about for her. I willbe contacting the local papers tomorrow to try to get this in there. Several reasons. One more awareness of all the old biddies who read the local paper, some plugs for dog lost, and to tell them about the lack of dog warden.. what to do if your dog does go missing and how so many strangers have helped so much. Should be something nice for them.
Anyway Bed for a few hours till i check traps again.

Just spoken with Georgie - there has been another sighting in the last 20  mins (21.25pm now) heading back towards Tesco's where the trap is just being baited with fresh hot chicken. The council have insisted that the trp is removed from the park as local residents and dog owners have a notion that the traps are baited with poisoned food ;-(( Posters in the Lilley Hill area have been torn down and scattered on the streets which has upset and frustrated Georgies efforts to catch her. Efforts on the ground by an amazing number of people are helping immensely - we just need that breakthrough.

I have only just heard about this poor dobie & it brings back so many memories of when MooseMonkey was missing there in Swinley Forest a couple of years ago - I walk there most days with Moose & often another dobie so will keep a look out... where exactly are the traps? I know all the areas mentioned well, but I am not clear where exactly she seems to have been sighted now... My own suggestion is ALWAYS to carry garlic sausage with you - when sighted, kneel down & break of pieces of the sausage off & sort of toss them toward her getting closer to you each time... I will be out tomorrow & will look for her. I haven't seen any posters tho... & I'm afraid I don't have a colour printer...

Thanks Ruthi, the afternoon sightings seem to start around 4pm if she follows her normal pattern, if you see her please, adopt low body position, with no direct eye contact - if you have a steady dog on a long line you could allow your dog to make the first contact and then gently try to coax her in.

I have just been speaking to Georgie, there was a confirmed sighting at 8.30 am this morning on Long Mile Drive and just now at 11.15 by the Mercedes garage & headed towards the traps - She is moving fast and is looking fit.Further sightings athough frustrating for Georgie who is at work prove that most people are aware and wiling to help , there are helpers out scanning the area and walking friendly approchable dogs.

I'll do it Angus. I'll be there late morning and will do all the entrances I can find on New Forest Ride and Bog Lane. We'll walk down to the treatment works and hand a few posters to them. Just going to settle down now to make some pull-off phone slips as suggested! And then I'll walk the forest in the area she was seen last night. Have a friend with me so if we have a sighting one can take our dogs back while the other sits down with food in hand.

Sorry to hear about G, hope you manage to get her back soon.  I'm too far away to help but a suggestion would be to print out business-card size pieces of paper with your contact details on and hand them out to everyone you see (I can do this for you if you're short of time). This means that people won't have to go back to the poster to find the number to call you. This worked for us when one of my dobermanns & I found a missing dog in Beckenham a few years ago - the owners were getting calls every few minutes on the mobile and then the dog just walked towards us.  My normally barky dobe kept quiet as if she knew she needed to stay calm.  Fingers crossed for a reunion soon.

I met someone in the Swinley Park part of the forest around 4.00pm who had just seen her in the woods just South of the Bog Lane water treatment works. The girl concerned was just off to find a poster with the phone number, but might be worth postering at the entrances to those woods (near Englemere Pond, and the entrances along New Forest Ride). I'll make sure my walks are in that area tomorrow.

Been out for almost 3 hours this morning, everywhere she'd already been, food still in trap, so she didnt fancy that! Saw people who had seen her that morning too. She seems to be favouring Tescos at the moment. Spoken to people I met the other day, they are still keeping a look out. Can I just say that if anyone does see her, if you can, sit down on the floor and try and entice her to you, rather than going after her, lots of people saying ' I saw her but she ran off when we tried to catch her' I know they only trying to help, but the more you chase, the more she runs. We need to gain her trust, and get her to come to us, by soft voice, no eye contact, throwing food towards her then gradually nearer to us, this could take a few days more even, but rather that than scaring her into running across some very busy roads! sue

Dogs are very resilient when out and well able to look after themselves. Put food down twice daily where you last saw her. That will keep her coming back.   A tip, this often works. If you see her, lay down and whimper have some food in your hand. Curiosity will get the better of her and she will approach. Keep whimpering and avoid eye contact. She will smell you and then recognition kicks in. Good luck, hope she is home soon.

Last minute update as i am about to go to bed. On a last round check of the traps.. who do i see 20 feet away from one. A little dobergirl. So close. we backed out of the carpark  but she walked off. Tomorrow i am back first thing in the morning (5:45ish) i'll rebait it with some other bits and bobs. I am also going to move the trap to a slightly more open place next to the bin she was scavenging around. Words cant express how happy i am to just know shes alive, to see her and know that she is back in the area. Just need to catch her now. Come on Georgia.. so close.

An update. Tonight is the first night we havent had a single call. This makes me very uneasy as  before atleast i knew she was ok. I am going to leave the traps up for a further 2 days then after that because of where she has been spotted its just too far away for them to be any use. Does anyone have any contacts with people who train/run huskies in "the look out" forest.. i know they do it most mornings at about 6am. There is a website they go on but i dont know it. A friend has put more posters up today covering a larger area (over 200 posters are up now)  people are being approached and dog walkers asked if they have seen her. Her previous owners are equally as distressed about her missing and for everyones sanity i just want her home. I feel totally defeated as everyone has tried so hard to find her and help me find her .. to get to a week since it happened and to not have her in my home pains me in so many ways. I have contacted SDK this evening to log it with them too as they are a 24/7 dog warden service that covers the london and surrounding areas. Also spoke to Thames Valley police today at about 7:30pm confirming that there has been no reports of any RTA's in a 20 mile radius involving any animal.
Called the Rangers of the look out forest people thing and they have said they will keep their eyes out and i have given them permission to shoot her with a sedation dart should they see her. She was aprox 30kgs when we picked her up and i imagine her to be less now. Just horrified that she isnt home yet.  :(

I misunderstood the meaning of wording in text this morning - Georga was headed towards a place called 'The Look Out' which is part of the crown estates - if she goes in there owners will not be able to gain access so we are hoping that she changes direction again - lets hope that she heads back towards the traps again this afternoon - this is her normal moving time.

Right. 3rd and final trap has been put up tonight in "the Priory" where she seems to like hanging out. Normal pattern of sightings where nothing all day then loads in the afternoon. from 4pm I have been commiting pretty much every motoring offence known to man darting all over the place following sighting after sighting. I cant believe after so many days she can still move so fast. She was spotted 10 mins ago in "longhill park" which is where i have a trap set up, its loaded with all sorts of goodies and she was spotted scavenging round where the trap is. I am not going to go out as i dont want to chase her away as she is exactly where i want her. One spotter reported that she was slightly lame on her rear yet others havent seen it. When i saw her last night she was stiff after getting up off the floor but not lame. I shall go out at dusk and check the traps again and HOPEFULLY one will contain a dobergirl.. then the problem of working out how to ge her out of the cage and in to the van with out loosing her again as i dont have the pole grabber things! If nothing at dusk i'll go out again about 11 and check again. I start a new job tomorrow (sods law) so i will have to leave trap checking in the hands of a friend of mine. so hoping preying BEGGING all that is holy that she gets caught and then she can come spend some quality time with me and my girls before she goes to her new home. There are about 100 posters about (i know this as i had 100 plastic wallets to begin with) so i can only hope i remember where they all are when it comes to taking them down.  I am hoping nwo that she isnt chased by the public so she stays where she is for a bit. the last 2 people who called me i asked not to chase her unless you see her trapped in a driveway/garden.. in that case POUNCE! Supper time here... and i have 3 dobersplats around me that are asking me why they havent had theirs yet! Either way i shall do another round of the traps before i go to work in the morning so another 5:30am start.

Thanks Jan for sorting the pictures, have just suggested to Georgie that she uses hot garlic chicken or tripe also in the traps - she is off home for some tripe from the freezer

Back home for some food and then back out again. She was spotted this morning  in Martins Heron on New Forest Ride by a phone call and by 2 dog walkers.
I am now going to add to all new posters that there is a ?250 reward for her safe return/caputre.
I have 2 out of the 3 traps i have now up. Thankyou all so much for coming together like this. That said i am shattered from the late nights and early mornings. Was out at 5:45 this morning trying to catch her before she goes roaming and seemingly failed!  First call was at 7:45. She was spotted on her way back up to where the traps are but there arew loads of dogs walkng and non seem to interested in the trap even though there is raw chicken, mackrell and liver in there!
Any suggestions.

Just putting some charge in my phone as i have had so many calls with sightings today (posters are beyond amazing!!!) my battery is dead. off out as she was spotted half an hour ago in the same place she was at 10am.
trap worked with my 2 girls, i dont think they approved though!
Lets hope its not too much of a long night and by tomorrow morning i can update saying shes home.
Cards packed along with munchies and some company so i dont go too mental.

owners/carers are travelling to Milton Keynes tonight to borrow my trap - I am not sure if it will be big enough but we are going to try - I have tried to contact anyone that I can think of that may have a bigger trap but being the Bank Holiday weekend we have not had any luck yet.

While putting up posters today by pure fluke I spotted her. We followed her along roads for abour 15 mins where she went in to "The Priory" in Priory Lane, Winkfield. There we very nearly caught her but she snapped and i instinctvly pulled back when i should have just jumped on her. She once again evaided us and even with the help of my dog training group on foot we didnt get another visual on her and went home 2 hours after she was last seen.   She appears to be ok health wise, still hanging down boobs wise, confirming that she has no Colar. not limping but her running is definatly slower than she was the first day. I witnessed her doing a pee and poo so can only assume shes finding stuff to eat. I have made this which shows where she has been seen. Shes covering alot of ground but she does seem to be staying in the same area as the last 24 hours. What i really need is a trap or one of those poles with a wire on the end as i am fine to approach her.. nothing i cant handle dealing with a erratic dog but i dont expect the general public to do so. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4009/4486984467_db1ac45f44_o.jpg And yes! I am the same person who found the Whippet (Poppy) and after a while decided that she was better suited to a only dog household and rehomed her. She is doing really well and she comes back when her owners go on holiday.

I have a suggestion. I too am looking for my dog who has been missing for 13 weeks. It was suggested to me that once I know the area where my dog is to do the following. Set up a BBQ and light it and cook something real smelly, dawn and dusk, which is when I am told they feed, or at the times of the day when she is most often seen. Let her come to you. This is easier than you driving around trying to spot her. When you see her stay calm, talk to her in a low voice and no eye contact. It may take some time for her to do this but if she won't let you just walk up to her and get ahold of her this might bring her to you. It sounds like you have a very good fix on where she is so this should work better for you, plus you have actually seen her very recently. You mentioned she had puppies recently and that it is obvious. Is she still nursing? Do her puppies need her? Good luck in catching your girl. Fingers crossed you get her home soon. xx

Shes taunting us. She was spotted in Ascot this morning at 10am, then by 7.45pm in Hatchet Lane.  Went out again and a friend called saying they nearly hit a stray dog in "braziers lane"  (winkfield) so darted down there and in the rain tracked her for about half an hour till my other girl was shivering and cold and soaked. Turned around and went home. 45 mins later i get a call from another friend asking if we have  lost one of our dogs as hes just had a dobe run by him. We explain the situation and he then follows her on foot. 2 miles later he managed to corner her but oncoming traffic caused a problem and she got away again. She was followed in direction of Martins Herron Tescos  (nr Bracknell) At this point we all lost sight of her and spent an hour driving round looking. Local police patrols were notified to keep an eye out for her. She has so far that we know about avoided 2 cars hitting her. This is just so distressing, I can see my kids laying on the floor all curled up and know that she should be in the warm with them and not out in the rain by her self alone.  :( Please if you knwo anyone in the area let them know shes about and the more people that know to look out for her the better.

I put up posters today with a fantastic result. She had been spotted and i was called by someone. She had been seen in "crouch lane" at 4pm. I went door to door and she was seen by 2 further people but no one thought to catch her. :(
Going out first thing tomorrow and going to sit in the road waiting to see if she shows up again. Thankfully there are alot of barns and similar in the area so i can only hope she is somewhere warm tonight.

Georga is a rescue that was on her way to a new fosterer.  They stopped for toileting and she has slipped her lead and ran.  She does not know the area whatsoever, was tracked for a mile from Winkfield Polo Club and was  last seen heading towards Wind sor. She is very wary of humans so please call immediately if seen.  She had puppies quite recently which is obvious. Given advice, hoping to get photo or use similar one.
