- Brilliant news please to Hettie is HOME. Emailed just received from one very happy owner: Hettie home. Had a phone call at 10a.m. from a man who was taking his dog for a walk and Hettie ran up to him. He was in the area I`d left the hankie but people have been looking all over there for nearly two weeks. She had the long line on without the handle. He took her home and I went over. She is half the body weight, dreadfully infecteced ears and a bit wobbly but I`m going to my vet at 3p.m. today to get a check up. Can`t thank you enough for all your help, really grateful. I just can`t believe my luck. So pleased to be moving her into the blue. Good day for the NW today. A big thank you to the man for alerting Hettie's owner. Lots of hugs and kisses Hettie and welcome home. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks twoDs. Owner had a phone call yesterday (3rd Apr) saying lady had seen a dejected old terrier walking alone down Cable Street, Formby on the evening of 24th. Her husband went out to catch it but it had gone. Owner spent the whole afternoon yesterday around that area, putting up more posters and spoke to lots of people, fire station, dog walkers, garden centre to no avail. Owner said she does not think it was Hettie as it was such a long way away and she would have had to cross some awful major roads but is following it up. Jan x Bumped due to possible sighting. - My mum has a caravan in the caravan site through the red squirrel reserve right next to where she went missing. I have phoned and given her a discription and she is going to keep her eyes peeled.

- Spoken to owner earlier tonight, more pics have been emailed and group photo now done. The right people have been contacted and posters have been getting put up. Owner has a lot of contacts in rescues, but does not live local to the area Hettie has gone missing in. Family are worried that she has gone down a warren hole, there have been no sightings of her. Hettie is on ongoing medication and is due an injection. Further info/advice and various size posters will be done a.s.a.p. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Sorry to see Hettie is missing, we will do all we can to help you in your search. You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible. Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in). Contact DW’s, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo). Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone. If she is CHIPPED if not already contact the Chip Co to report her missing and check your details are up to date. If picked up in area she went missing main kennels she would go to Halewood RSPCA 0151-486-1706 or possible Leigh Cats & Dog’s Home 01942 67125 if she goes over the bordering area. Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW’s etc and if you have started postering. You can leave a comment by selecting Add a comment just above Comments. Good luck and hope she is found soon. Good luck. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Email and photo received in Admin:
Lost in the Larkhill Lane area of Formby, Merseyside on Wed 24th March 2010.
She pulled after rabbits and disappeared with her long extender lead trailing after her. She is tattooed and is wearing a red leather collar with tag and the long lead has a bright red handle. Many dog walkers, National Trust wardens and friends have searched for days but no sightings at all. Possibility she has gone down a rabbit warren but no sign. Within seconds of her disappearance she had gone but warrens were some distance and other dog walkers were about. Another possibility is that she has been picked up. Any information gratefully received.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
