Sabian is home! His owners had a call this morning to say he was in a field, and had been sleeping there. Owner Ann went straight there, and was able to coax him in. He has lost a little weight, but other that he is absolutely fine, and enjoying the welcome home celebrations. Please stay safe from now on, Sabian! Welcome home, handsome boy.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have looked and found www.farmradio.org.uk looks like it covers Somerset and Dorset but who knows there may be other areas as well.  Could be a way of spreading the word about doglost as well.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Another sighting this morning, near a local farm. The owner was walking towards him, and was close to getting hold of him when another car stopped, a man jumped out, and Sabian took off across the fields so fast that the owner was unable to follow, even with the car. He hasn't returned to the farm again today, but have suggested owners scent the area heavily, and leave food, in the hope that he will return. Bumping up.   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Not as far as I'm aware, Nina - unless there are any farmers logged on who can tell us otherwise. We usually recommend that owners mailshot every farm in the locality with a poster and covering letter, as well as visiting those that they can get to. Sabian has stayed local so far, and the owners are trying to hold him by scenting the area, in the hope he doesn't move on.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just a thought do farmers have their own radio channel that you could contact.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Email received from owner: After further conversation with the person who saw him, he was on the road/junction of Mount Hawke/Porthtowan, not actually at the garage.
He also was seen at the skate park and allotments approx the same
time.  No further sightings as yet.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Two more sightings this morning, both around 9.a.m., and both at the junction of Sevenmilestone garage. The food left in Parc Shady has been eaten, but at this stage it is unclear who, or what has eaten it. Bumping up. Come on, Sabian, come home, please! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There have been two sightings of Sabian, both in Parc Shady woods, Mount Hawke. He was seen there yesterday, and again today by his mum, but he was running very fast. I have suggested a feeding station, and scenting of the area, in the hope that we can hold him there and calm him down enough to let his family get near.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sabian slipped his collar and ran off at around 9.a.m. this morning. He was staying with a relative of his owners in Mount Hawke, but his home is in Perranporth. He is not an aggressive dog, but is nervous of people he doesn't know, and is unlikely to be coaxed, even for food. His family is hoping that he finds his way back to Perranporth, or Mount Hawke, or even St Agnes, which he knows quite well, however he was sighted earlier today in a field at Scorrier, near Redruth. Informarion and advice have been emailed to Sabian's owners.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
