- I'm still so happy to get Raz back. I wanted to thank everyone again for helping me. Even though he is old and deaf, he is still a cutey and I really was giving up hope of ever seeing him again. It was down to Doglost that I found him. So thank you , all.x x x x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- This is just the best news. I kept checking Raz's page today, knowing that the News Shopper was out and then missed Kizzie's post when out walking our Milly. I checked as soon as I got home, saw the post I was waiting to see and then had a text from Baggy Dog (thanks you BD)!!! And all the time Raz was just a 5 minute car journey away from me! It just goes to show, doesn't it but it was very naughty of the finder just to hang on to him whilst you had put your life/work on hold. Thank you one and all for all your support and we were happy to have been there for you. Thank you so much for the donation as it will help us to help other owners who find themselves in a similar situation. All we would ask that you would consider staying on as a DogLost Helper (as was the case with ellejay) as your experience will help others (Baggy Dog 'recruited' me!). Welcome home little Raz and stay close little man!Last edited: 2010-04-14 16:42:52 by Millys Mum

- Just got in, I was so happy when you rang me to say he was home, i was probally sounded very tongue tied. And to think i had not long left Chatterton Road from a delivery. Thank god the person who had him saw the Advert in the newshopper. It is great that he cared for Raz, and probally is upset that he is no longer with him, but it scares me how many people out there that hold on to other peoples dogs and not report them to the vets or wardens, meanwhile the owner is going through hell. oh well, he is home safe and sound where he belongs, and i am so happy for you all. I will go round and take down the posters i have put up also. Would it be possible to have a reunited picture ?? and if you ever want a dog sitter when you go on holiday, you can always ring me hehe.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- RAZ IS BACK AT HOME!!!!!! Someone picked him up on that Saturday and took him home in Shortlands. He said he did not believe in rescue places or anything like that, so he was keeping Raz until someone found him....or something along those lines. Anyway, he saw the advert on the Newsshopper and phoned me today just before lunch. He said he would walk from Shortlands to the Co-op on Chatterton Lane where I met him an hour later. Raz is fine. He has been well cared for and probably looks cleaner than when he disappeared! Thank you all for all your help and support. Do I owe anybody anything....expenses for posters etc? I am happy to settle up with anyone. I have made a donation to doglost, but would not like to think that anyone was out of pocket. I have contacted the rescue centres to tell them, and also dog warden Bromley common vets, microchip company, and I have asked my son to go round the streets to remove as many posters as he can find ( about 300 at least!!!) I do believe that between us, we did make Raz too hot to handle. So it is a great thing to do. Thanks you all x x x x xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- ellejay, great work today - thanks for all that postering. As you so rightly say, 'disappearing' posters could mean that Raz is nearby. I've put one up in Kelsey Park as it's teeming with people and children at the mo, especially as the new cafe has finally opened up. It's on my 'special postering tree' which is next to the putting green and close to the cafe and kiddies playground. I will pop over there tonight around closing time to see if I can find the Ward Security (dog-assisted parks patrols) chaps to speak to. They patrol all Bromley Council's parks and are always very interested to hear about any missing dogs. I know some of them quite well and so will go looking for them this evening. Yes, fingers crossed for the ol' News Shopper tomorrow!Last edited: 2010-04-13 18:53:43 by Millys Mum

- Done a few more roads around area today, Nelson road, Marlborough Road, Homesdale, Gundulph, also did Bromley south by the RBS building and roads around there.. Thing is, the posters i put up yesterday around Bourne Road and Haywood have now gone,....now this worries me, it could well be the council taking them down, or the person who has Raz, which tells me he MUST be still in area, and they don't want people to know if he is missing dog !!!!! The newshopper should work wonders for sightings, but the more they take down teh posters, the more i will just keep putting up..Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- ellejay, great to see that you are able to post again - thanks for all you are doing. Raz's details have been added to the DogLost South East facebook page. I don't 'do' Facebook and so leave that to the other clever people! I spoke to the Street Cleansing dept at Bromley Council this morning (not a nice call to make but always good to rule that possibility out) and the good news is that no little white fluffy dogs have been injured or picked up on the streets of Bromley. I spoke to a really lovely (dog and cat owning) person who said that she will keep her eyes peeled and check out the DogLost site. Hoping that the New Shopper will work it's magic unless Raz pitches up in the meantime. Come on little lad - your family need you home! Last edited: 2010-04-12 19:22:30 by Millys Mum

- I hope this posts as i have had problems logging on here for ages. I have been out today all along Southlands Road, up the side roads of Fashoda, Elliott, Haywood etc... also covered some of Hayes along Mead Way, round near Norman park, just to get more eyes out looking, tomorrow i have customers in Bromley high street, so will poster there for the shoppers to see. Sounds to me that the people tried to hand him in then decided to keep him if the police did not help. But why oh why have they not taken him to the vets to be scanned, some people just do not think.. My O.H has been printing the posters at work as my printer has gone on the blink, so will get more tomorrow and keep putting them up, i have also told all my customers to look out for him. Is there a facebook page been made ?? i forgot to ask, that will get even more people knowing about him, if there is can i have the link so i can send to all my contacts ..Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I had a call from a lady in Swanley saying that her son had seen Raz. As in, a bichon, dirty faced and feathery tail. Sopunds like him. However, he ran away from the boy. I went over there and searched the area, but don't know whether it was him or not. Her name is Jenny and she is going to put some posters out, and I shall print off some more, and also go and put some out. I can't believe that he could have made his own way to Swanley. If he has got that far, maybe he will trot down our road at some time. He must be really running scard if that's the case. Jenny told me that she had contacted the dog warden and the police of the area. She works for the chap at Woodlands, so I am guessing that she knows what she is talking about. I think I may go first thing in the morning tomorrow on my bike and scour the area. He won't go in long grass...doesn't like to walk on anything but clear ground (SO precious!!)OMG> I hate this.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Well that's good ... in a way. It means, hopefully, that he's safe & warm rather than wandering the streets. I can't imagine that the people would want to keep him, if they took him to the police station. It only remains for them, their neighbours or their friends & family to see a poster and get in touch. But in past cases the News Shopper has worked wonders, so fingers crossed still.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I had a phone call from a chap who lives on Chatterton Road. He said that he had seen a little white fluffy dog running around the road and had seen a couple pick him up. This just confirms to me that he is with someone....this is the third sighting of him...probably all on the same day, Saturday 3rd. So he MUST be somewhere in the area. Have just submitted notice for the newshopper so that should come out on Wednesday.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- It must be hard for you, but remember - life's too short for housework! The benefits of being self employed are that you can devote time to your search. I'm also self employed and drop everything when one of the dogs needs to go to the vet (currently five hour round trip to the vet with my dobermann boy). How about delivering mini flyers through the doors of houses in the vicinity? Also recruiting local children, now on holiday, to help you find him? They may be motivated by the reward if nothing else! xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Kizzie - we really feel for you because this is our worse nightmare (as Baggy Dog will testify when her naughty Elllie takes herself off on a mission and then she's only 'missing' for a very short time!). But believe us when we say it's really early days. I suspect after all your postering Raz has now become the best known and hottest boy in town. I would imagine that local people and dog owners are now spreading the word. I wonder whether you have contacted the local Safer Neighbourhoods police team (presumably the one that covers the area where Raz went missing from is the Bromley Common & Keston team - if it's not them, they will point you in the right direction). I've looked them up on the internet and they are based at 58-62 Walpole Road, Bromley and the team is headed up by Sgt John Feeney. Their contact numbers are 020 8721 2607 or 07920 233 855. When you speak to them please make it very clear (in the nicest possible way of course) how upset and angry you are by the way Bromley police station dealt with the couple who brought in the 'white fluffy dog' which they had found nearby and perhaps your complaint will make sure that they work that little bit harder to keep an eye out for Raz! However, I WAS pleased to hear that Woodlands Kennels were so caring and helpful.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- If it had not been for Louisa, Baggy and Millie's mum, I would have given up by now. I am making myself ill over this, and not getting on with my life. I have a business to run which is being neglected, and a home to run which I don't care about! We went to the park today, sunny but freezing cold wind, sat there having a picninc, looked on by loads of people who thought we were mad!!! Gave them all a flyer. Also posted more flyers round the bottom end of the park by the swings. Can't think of anything else to do now other than sit tight and hope. Someone MUST have him. Hopefully they will either give him up or send him on his way so that someone else can give him up. Thank you all for all your help and support. This feels like the only place I can turn where people care. I love you all!!! x x x x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I posted a message on here yesterday but, for some strange reason (possibly gremlins), it's disappeared! A big thanks to Baggy Dog's sister, Jo for announcing at the gig last night that Raz is missing from the immediate area. And, Raz's owner, great idea about the picnic - you certainly had the best weather today and so hopefully it meant that there were loads of people, children (and their dogs) out in the park. By the way, did you make contact with Woodlands Kennels on Saturday? It's also great to hear that you have managed to put up so many posters whilst carrying on the search for Raz. Like you, I believe he's still in the area and so hope that the right person spots one of his posters. Make sure you don't miss tomorrow's Monday morning deadline for the News Shopper as I believe it's circulation is (or was) over 200,000! Keeping all fingers and paws crossed here that you will soon get the telephone call you've been waiting for. Let us know, if there's anything we can do as we will always do our very best to help. Come on Raz, show your cute little face - your family needs you back home - pronto!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi. We spent the morning around the Bromley Common Road down towards WhiteHall rec, covering Chatterton Road, Pope Road, Addison Road, the rec, the Virgin leisure centre,, along some road I can't remember the names, Havelock Road, Fashoda Road, then back up to the church at the top of Southlands. We put out and gave out about 200 posters/flyers. People were mostly very sympathetic. One person did tell us that they had seen our dog being carried down the road from Bromley Common towards the rec last Saturday. That ties in with him being picked up by someone who took him to the police station earlier on....presumably having found him somewhere round the rec area, then taking him back to the rec area......or to their home. I can't help feeling that he is with someone somewhere in that area. We are planning to have a picnic in the rec tomorrow and just hang around to see if we can spot him. We'll also put our some more flyers to other dog walkers. Thanks for advertising him on the mike at the gig. I hope the gig goes well. I am so grateful to you for doing that. Also to Louisa who has beeon posting flyers today as well. Thanks to you all. With any luck, there will be a good outcome. It's been over a week, now though.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi Kizzie, sorry Raz is still missing. My sister's band (The Bluesicians) are playing a gig in The Chatterton Arms tonight. I've sent Raz's details to Jo, who will put an announcement over the mic about Raz. There should be a good crowd in there. Hopefully you've had a chance to take some posters/mini flyers in there by now. Fingers crossed you get him back this weekend.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thank you all so much for you help and support. I have put posters up in Norman Park and also in the park next to Cowder Road. Also in Bromley Common Vets and lots of lampposts on Bromley Common Road. We think that Raz was seen being carried by a couple walking towards the police station. They were walking between the church at the end of Southlands or is it Southfields road, towards the police station. No other sightings after that. I've spoken to Louisa who is going to put more posters up and keep her eyes peeled for him. I'm going back to the area tomorrow with a load of flyers and will stick some up, and hand out others to as many people as will accept them. being a saturday morning, I may catch lots of people. I'm going to make some posters to take to the supermarkets and pubs in the area. I feel that if someone is hanging on to him, he is somewhere from along the Bromley Common Road, back a few roads. He was staying at Fashoda road. So I am targetting between Fashoda road and Bromley Common. Thank you for sending me the flyers. they are really helpful.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have just spoken to one of Raz's owners - sadly Raz is still missing. I have passed on some local contact numbers and suggested that they call Woodlands Kennels as 3 of our missing dogs have been taken there by the DW. Raz's owner has confirmed that Raz's Missing ad will be going into next week's News Shopper. Thanks Yasa, goldenfrodo, doglover and Baggy Dog for your comments and support (I was also told that ellejay has been in contact with owners - I believe she's having problems accessing the DL site at the mo but thanks). Owner has said they would be grateful for mini-flyers.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Kizzie, thanks for your post and for the update on what you have done and where you have postered. You can also print copies of Kaz's A4-sized Missing posters (you have to be logged in to do this) by clicking on Dog Poster 1 which you will find above Dog Information at the top left-hand side of this page. Good to hear that you have also paid a visit to the very supportive Last Chance shop in Chatterton Road as I know that they will help as much as they can to spread the word that Kaz is missing. They would probably be more than happy to have a small pile of mini-flyers on the counter in the shop so that customers and supporters can help themselves to a copy to carry with them. And, yes, pubs are a very good place to target. I feel certain that Kaz is still in the immediate area and that it's just a case of the right person spotting one of his posters. Fingers crossed for you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Sorry to hear about Raz. It's worth getting hundreds of posters printed off, also mini flyers to hand out to dog walkers/postmen/dustmen etc. in the area. News Shopper ads work well too - particularly with a large colour photo. I think the cut off time is Monday 10am but I'm sure Milly's Mum will confirm or correct that. My friend runs the Last Chance shop in Chatterton Road nearby. I'll print off a poster for her to display in the shop. You need also to take/send posters to all the local vets. Hope he's found soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Information in admin from owner :- Raz was lost in Bromley near bromley Common Road. Someone did find him and took him to the police station near south Bromley station. However, the police do not take in dogs anymorein fact, they did not even make a note of this persons name or phone number. they merely gave this person the number of the dog warden.
We live in Chipstead near Sevenoaks. Raz was staying with our son in Bromley whilst we were away for 10 days.
Trouble is, in Bromley, they don’t appear to have a proper dog warden and it is very difficult to get through to anyone.
I have managed to get through to all the right people now, but I am guessing that whoever has our dog, has perhaps triedbut not that hard.
He is 13.5 years old, white and fluffy, hardly any teeth, deaf as a post, 2 cysts on the back of his neck, very lively for his age, afraid of nothing. We have had dogs for over 30 years and never lost one before. This is so much more painful than having to have a dog put down.
We have put out quite a few posters in the area. When you say heavily poster, how heavy is heavy? Should I go back there again tomorrow and put out loads more?
Many thanks M
