Ellie was found about 10 mins from home hiding under a bush bless her. She is fine, didn't have the harness and attached lead anymore, and is now enjoying being back home. Owners are over the moon and thank Doglost for the help. And they are kindly going to make a donation to help us continue to help others - THANK YOU.

ELLIE IS HOME AND SAFE!! It was great switching on my phone this morning to see a message from Ellie's dad saying he'd got her at 3.30am this morning and thats she's fine. Her owners have worked relentlessly, out all night every night since she went missing. She'd only been with them 2 weeks so we all wish them a very happy and long life together now! More details to follow as they're phoning later. What a great start to the day!

I live in the local area and will gladly help search if I'm free. I have a greyhound myself and I'm sure the Greyhound community can come together in organised searches and help find Ellie. Someone must see her soon, it's such a populated area.

Photo here now. Posters & flyers done and emailed to owner and others. Info sheets with advice sent too. Fingers crossed they get some news on Ellie soon. They've taken out a 5 day ad in the local paper which will start from Weds.

Photo will be text over later tonight. Ellie ran off from Ashlyns Rd area of Pitsea (Essex) in the very early hours of the 18th. She was on an extendable lead which, after she went to chase a fox, snapped. She still has the lead part (minus handle) trailing with her - attached to her harness. She ran off along Ashlyns, towards Rectory Rd. She is bluey/brown in colour, 20 mths old and timid. Full ID - wearing tag, chipped and tattooed. All details up to date and companies notified. Dogwardens, kennels, police, vets etc all been alerted but no sign yet. Owner been out searching the streets and will get photos up asap. She'd only been in her new home 2 weeks, bless her.
