PLEASE take note everyone who has lost their dog. Do not rely on the police to contact you, as they are sometimes too busy to recall anything about your pet.Give them a poster with a picture of your dog on it and ALWAYS regularly visit the rescue kennels personally to check if your dog is there. It may not be recognised by the people who work there, despite the fact that a poster is sent to them from Doglost.

I wish to add that the person who found him took him to the police station and they said they had no knowledge of this dog although the owner had been in regular contact with them, asking to see if he had been handed in !!!!!!

Fantastic news. Daxter is home! Got a call from his owner this morning to tell me the great news. Someone in the next street had found him wandering and put him on a lead and took him home. She mentioned it to her uncle who lives in ENGLAND !! He checked on OUR WONDERFUL DOGLOST SITE. He recognised it was Daxter by the tip of his ear being missing (description above) and low and behold, Daxter's owner was contacted and he is now back home. What a wonderful start to my day to hear this excellent news. Daxter has been missing since the 6th of May. He is a bit thinner but not as thin as he would have been if he had not been fed all this time so perhaps someone has had him and he has wandered off from there trying to find his way home. Welcome home gorgeous boy. Stay safe and DO NOT got off travelling again on your own. xxxx

Where is this boy? Does anyone in the area know of someone who has recently acquired a black labrador? Someone has got this dog and does not want to give him up. His owner wants him home. Can anyone help to search and poster please?

Daxter is a 5 yr old black labrador who wandered out on his own and has not been seen since. I have spoken to his owner, sent advice and will inform Scottish rescues. I hope he is found soon. Please look out for him.
