IvanD, I'm so sorry to hear how you are missing your lovely Samson. Most of us have experienced a sudden loss of one of our precious pets and so we know just how you are feeling and how painful it is without them. Samson was clearly very much loved by you all and, in time, you will remember all the happy times with your lovely lad. Each time we have lost a member of our furry family, I have looked through all the photos (and cried buckets whilst doing so) and had one or two enlarged, framed and put somewhere really prominent so that you can still talk to him. I still talk to ours, even though it might be years after we have lost them, and I find it helps. Also, once again if it helps, post a message on here as we are all very good listeners! Thinking of you... x

Thanks for all of the lovely comments, I don't know how I would have coped withut all of the support I have been given from my family, friends and all of the lovely concerned people on here. I have so much respect for the people who run, maintain and support this site, and I can't thank you enough for all of the help you must be giving to people like myself.

It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colours. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills, and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm Spring weather. The old frail animals are young again. They play all day with each other. There is only one thing missing, they are not with their special person who loved them so much on Earth. Each day they all run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears rise up! The eyes are staring! Then suddenly, this one runs from the group! You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her into your arms and you both embrace. Your face is licked again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

Unfortunately, Samson was ran over and killed. We are devastated but we really appreciate all of the help and concern that has been given to us. Thank you so much for this great service, we will definately be contributing and helping others on here in the future xxx
