Hi doglover, no its not Monkey and looking at Llasa apso pics, the dog i found must have been a cross. He had the body and tail of a Llasa but definitely not the face.

Could this be missing Monkey 23375, lost in CH62 North West area?

Just to add my daughter walked him around for quite a while trying to locate his owners but to no avail.we would to have loved to keep him here with us rather than send him to kennels but my 3 girls were not happy with him being in the house and kept growling at him! I really hope he is reunited soon as he is a lovely little boy. Nice chatting to you Jan xxx

Spoken to finder, this boy has now been picked up by the AW and will be taken to Halewood RSPCA. I'll follow it up and try and find out what happens to him. Well done to his finder, who also helped reunite a missing DL dog that was on DL not so long ago. Jan x
