I am really please to report that it was indeed Max in the advert,so well done Maggie for that spot - just goes to show how important the internet is in these match ups that someone in Scotland can find a missing dog in Oxfordshire. Max was wearing his collar with ID tag when missing - the tag had been removed and owners said it was a really strong ring too so was possibly removed. This was a small rescue centre that he ended up in in Abingdon, even though all wardens had been informed Max slipped through tthe paper trail. Good news is that he is off to the vets tomorrow for a check up and a chip !
Maggie

Hi, I was just going through the adverts on Pets4homes.co.uk and came across a male collie X german shephard, this dog is in Oxford, it looks very much like Max, you can't see the tip of his tail due to it being tucked underneath him. This dog is up for rehoming, heres the link http://www.pets4homes.co.uk/pets4homes/home.nsf/dogsforsale/F8687213D0461C2A8025772D004B4E75
