- Yes Ann the following around is very common, she will be clingy and want plenty of reassurance, which no doubt she is getting lots of. When my goldie was reunited he was shattered but would fight his sleep (as if he was frightened to go to sleep). It took him a while to get back to normal. Jan x

- one thing we have noticed since her return is that she tends to follow us around the house a lot more , but apart from that she,s fine ,...oh and she,s found her bark again and busy letting all the local cats know about it .best wishes and safe return to all dogs on DL ****ann.

- LUCY WAS FOUND 12FT UNDERGROUND IN A 18 INCH DIAMETER DRAINAGE PIPE HALF FULL OF WATER .THESE PIPES CONNECTED TO CONCRETE SHAFTS SEALED WITH METAL MANHOLE COVERS ,WE HAD REMOVED THESE COVERS AND CLIMBED DOWN TO FIND HER BUT NEVER HEARD SO MUCH AS A WHIMPER ON THE FIRST FEW DAYS OF SEARCHING ,BUT ON THE TWELFTH EVENING OF LOOKING WE WERE GOING TO SEAL THE SHAFTS BACK UP WHEN WE HEARD HER SOMEWHERE DOWN THE PIPES.AFTER A WHILE WE FOUND ANOTHER SHAFT WHICH WE HAD TO EXCAVATE TO GET THE LID OFF , AND THERE SHE WAS LAYING ON A LEDGE SURROUNDED BY MUD AND WATER AT THE BOTTOM.IF WE HAD NOT HEARD HER AT THAT TIME SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN SEALED BACK IN AS WE HAD ALL BUT GIVEN IN BUT MERCIFULLY SHE LET US KNOW AT THE CRUCIAL TIME, I DONT THINK SHE WOULD HAVE SURVIVED MUCH LONGER .

- thanks for your post angus, we do think that she has been somewhere within the huge drainage system and has probably fallen straight down into it from an open but concealed manhole.we took her straight to the vet who gave her a thorough going over, her feet are very spongy from being in the water for so long, he says it is trench paw and her gums are all inflamed and beginning to ulcer but she should make a slow but full recovery, she is on antibiotics for the next few days.she is of course ravenous but we have been told to only feed her small but often light meals even though our natural instinct is to give her the biggest meal ever.we are so pleased to have her home with us i just wish we could share some with the owners of other missing dogs
- 2010-06-04 15:10 Angus
- Ann, that is wonderful news - do you think that she could have been there all the time? or fell in on her way back home - please let us know how she gets on and what the vets say about her health, well done with your perseverance of keep going bcak tot he spot that you last saw her.

- Lucy is home, we rescued her from the bottom of a storm drain around 9pm last night in the same place from where she was last seen .she is very traumatised and her feet and gums are in a bit of a state but she is home where she belongs that is all that matters. A huge thankyou to everyone who has joined in the search for lucy it has paid off in the end.i can't begin to express how overjoyed we all are to have got her home safe and sound

- feeling a bit down today, no response at all from the radio appeal or the posters we put up all around crofton, walton & sharlston. She has to be somewhere. we can only presume that someone is keeping her, can't believe that she can still be wandering up and down after all this time.
- 2010-06-01 14:20 ann
- apperal made on local radio today, no response so far, have put more posters up in a widening area and spoken to as many local dog walkers as possible. everyone is being so kind and helpful but we still have not got that vital piece of information
- 2010-05-31 09:43 ann
- possible sighting in crofton centre, drove around for 2 hours and have put up posters and spoken to local dog walkers etc,all we need is that little piece of up to date information. getting in touch with local radio stations to ask if they will broadcast an appeal
- 2010-05-29 17:57 ann
- telephone call with possible sighting on Wakefield road, normanton on sunday morning about 1/2 mile from home, but this leaves the question if she has made it so far, why hasn't she made it the short distance home. has someone taken her in?
- 2010-05-29 17:53 ann
- still looking , putting up posters etc no luck so far will carry on till we find her one way or another ..
- 2010-05-24 21:39 lou_960
- thanks very much hun, been down where she was last seen all evening. we have scented and used a listening device down holes/stormdrains but havent heard so much as a whimper. we have left food and water and put up posters, more are going to be put up tommorrow. have contacted friends in sharlston etc to tell them to keep an eye out. we are at a complete loss what to do next.
- 2010-05-24 20:36 TracyB
- Im probably the closest. Heath Common is popular with dog walkers but does cover a large area. Sharlston is next village. My neighbour is bus driver around that area so will pass him poster and try get over to help poster/search. The crop fields are quite high at the moment as well which may hinder search but safe area and food/water available. Fingers crossed scenting works and she is home soon x

- 2010-05-24 08:03 wickedweims
- have spoken to owners it appears that the area she has gone missing is very remote it is highly unlikely that she has been picked up but may have got stuck in a hole as there arelots of stormdrains and burroghs in the area have given scenting advise and will try to help further
- 2010-05-23 23:19 wickedweims
- have tried to contact owners willtry again monday am
