DogLostAngus
wonderful news here - been crossing fingers all day for Josie, well done team Bristol
dinkydoodle
doglover and I went to visit Josie (soon to be known as Spirit) this afternoon, what a pretty girl she is and was chilling out in her bed in a quiet area to enable her to get used to her new surroundings and her new family, including her new playmate a 7yo greyhound who will be showing her the ropes! I'm sure she'll be as right as rain in a few days and put all her previous traumas behind her to have a lovely comfortable life with her new family. No more wandering now Spirit.x.
Mollychops
Dinkydoodle and Doglover have been to see Josie tonight, and taken a reunited photo, which will be on here soon!!!Watch this space !She is tired and sleepy bless her, after her ordeal, her bed is in a quiet spot in the house, where she can recover.Last edited: 2010-05-27 19:06:23 by Mollychops

Great news - I'm so happy to hear that Josie is back home and what wonderful people who took the time and trouble to alert Josie's owner and then help to 'catch her' with some tasty sausages! Welcome home Josie.
Mollychops
Josie had run into an enclosed area, and was spotted by some passers by in a car who had recognised her and found her owner, owner went to this area, and with the help of another passer by contained her, Josies owner threw down some sausages, and she came too her. Im so please this lovely girl is home, Ive suggessted a visit to the vet just to make sure she is ok, as she might have been eating bones from bins etc.Welcome back Josie and thanks to Dinkydoodle and Doglover for your hard work here, postering and searching. I will await a nice reunited pic.
dinkydoodle
thanks for the call mollychops with the fantastic news that Josie has been caught and is safe, absolutely over the moon for her new owners. Look forward to the update later and a reunited photo.x.

Message from Mollychops, She will update later. Josie has been caught and is safe, Great news. Welcome home Josie.
Mollychops
Owner just called to say she has just seen josie at the top end of road, running fast, while she was on someone spoke to her and said she may have gone into an area that she might be caught in.
Mollychops
Thanks so much Dinkydoodle. Great efforts here!! Ive just spoken to Josies owner, she was up late last night, and thought she heard a bark outside. When she went out to put food out for Josie, she found her foodwaste recyling bin on its side and contents strewn over the garden. This may be Josie I really hope so. Owner is working very hard to find her, and its very frustrating, and no more calls now since yesterday.
dinkydoodle
2 hours in the pouring rain and nothing, this young lady is obviously very sensible and staying in the dry. Several sightings earlier this morning so I've advised owners to be out and about early tomorrow and hopefully she may be asleep in a chap's garden as she was today. At least she is staying very close to home. I've reiterated to owners how to approach her; they are leaving access available at home with bedding. As I was leaving area tonight, Josie's fosterers were out searching also, they have come a considerable distance so huge thanks to them, they said they will be back to search. Come on Josie, you are needed back at home, your new owner is desparate to have you back and there are some new toys waiting for you.x.
Mollychops
owner and Dinkydoodle are going back tonight to the sightings area, Its the time when Josie has been seen most ie dawn and dusk. Nothing today as she is probably resting somewhere. Come on Josie , show yourself, your mum is working hard to get you home. Thanks again, Dinkydoodle, you have been great herex
ML
Really hope that Josie is found very soon. Great news that she is staying close, sorry I can't help out at the mo but as usual Dinkydoodle and doglover are doing a fantastic job. Stay safe Josie. xxx
dinkydoodle

my computer went a bit weird then,on the add a comment bit I also wanted to say Ive explained owner to not approach Josie in a confrontational way, but to sit on the floor calling her softly .
Mollychops
Owner has had lots of sightings now, a man found her asleep in his garden earlier but she ran off when he tried to catch her. She is staying in a small area, which seems to be a field, around a school these areas are right next to Josies owners road.Owner is going to set up a feeding station, and maybe if necessary a trap. She is a very scared girl, now and will be hard to catch,

Sighting phoned into HQ...10 minutes ago in Hillford Park...and also last night in Hillford school. Very nervous and running away.
Mollychops
huge thanks for your help here Dinkydoodle and Doglover. Ive sent Josies owner plotting and scenting instructions, but as Josie was only in her new home for a day, not sure?I will try and call owner again and catch up.
dinkydoodle
Thanks Mollychops and ESSJ for emailing flyers & posters. Owner has been out postering earlier this morning; doglover and I put up further posters and did a leaflet drop in Josie's immediate area this afternoon and spoke to several people. I've also text a few friends who live in the area and will keep their eyes peeled. Spoke to owner and the possible sighting this morning seems more than likely confirmed so together with sightings on Sunday, it appears Josie is staying in the area. Can continue to poster tomorrow afternoon but we now need those calls coming in. Come on Josie, show yourself.
Mollychops
