- After a day of frantic phone calls and making arrangements with the finder of the dog..it turned out that it was not Star. So, we are back to the drawing board with these 2.. a fresh appeal, more posters and hopefully a piece in the local free paper too. Come on you two..where are you hiding?? It's time to come home now! I hope you are still together and i hope you are both safe. Until we find you, please look after each other. Adele xx

- jolley1982, thanks for the update. Are you visiting rescues at least once a week and not just phoning, it is so important as they always have lots of staffies. I was in Halewood RSPCA on Thursday and as usual they are inundated with them. See if you can target the new Widnes shopping area, there are lots of people visiting from all over especially with it being new, I was there today. If the posters are being taken down you need to put them back up, hope it is not the Council who are removing them. Keep their profile up and if not already try and get them in any papers in the area. Good luck. Jan x

- Thanks for registering Natalie, your updates are much appreciated, thank you :) I really had my fingers crossed that they would both be there :( I had a search around the local area this morning (4.30am) near to your road...along Lugsdale road and up to the roundabout near morrisons.. quickly checked all the side streets (i was on my way to work) didn't see a thing and no signs of rubbish bags been opened or such like. I had another look around the area when i left work at 6.50 but no joy again.. i have given a poster to my work colleague who lives on lugsdale road and she will keep a look out for them. Fingers crossed that these posters will work their magic and bring your babies home very soon, until then..stay safe babies. Adele xxLast edited: 2010-05-27 20:41:00 by Rileys Mum

- Thank you for the posters Jan.. i did send them on to the owner this morning. Have also printed some off myself but was unable to get out today as my daughter was off school sick :( All good to go for tomorrow though. Will display a poster in my car too. I have printed off some leaflets to hand out when i walk Riley so fingers crossed somebody somewhere will recognise the pictures. Owner was out today searching and was very grateful for the help and the posters :) I have also informed a work colleague of mine who lives just up at the top of the road from where they went missing. I am in work at 4.45am tomorrow morning so it's the perfect time for me to have a quick search around the area. I have to pick my work mate up from this road... will have a good look while i'm there. Will have a search around after i finish too about 7am. The streets are quiet at that time so if they are still wandering around this area, it will be the right time to spot them. Owner is also visiting Halewood RSPCA tomorrow, fingers crossed that they are there waiting for their mummy! Will update tomorrow. Adele x

- I have added a similar pic of Star.. this is the closest match that the owner could find.. Star is quite tall and looks black from a distance although she is dark brindle. She has a small white patch on her chest. Will try to get the 2 pics combined to make a poster with both dogs on. Owner is visiting Halewood RSPCA on thursday.. she has contacted them and been told that they have lots of staffies in...fingers crossed these 2 lovelies are there waiting for their mummy. I will put posters up where i can locally and will walk a bit further when walking Riley in the morning. I will also ask at the local fire station as that is not far away from where they have gone missing from. Lots of Industrial units around here... hope that one of the work men has seen them. Will ask around tomorrow. Come on guys...let's be having you home please. xx

- Have spoken to the owner. The dogs have been missing since approx 5am on Saturday morning..there has been no sightings since they went. Owner has contacted the DW and RSPCA in Halewood and Warrington. I advised to visit Halewood rather than phoning. Owner has also put posters up in the local area and been to all familiar places and walks to search for them. No photo available of the little girl Star unfortunately so i advised to look for a pic of a similar dog. Owner thinks they will stay together as they are usually inseparable at home. Will now email more info and contact details for them to try. A poster will be available for download & print asap. This is just around the corner from me so i will be out searching too. I hope these 2 are found very soon, until then..stay safe sweetie's. Adele x
