- Latest update he is very well, vet gave him the all clear today, he just needs FOOD and water. After drinking and sleeping all day on Saturday he was up at 06.30 Sunday morning telling me it was time for 'walkies' so I took him to the park as usual, the moment he was off the lead you wouldn't have thought anything had ever happened to him, like a pup running around in circles growling manically with contentment at being back in his territory. I think it's going to take us longer to recover from his ordeal! Owl I intend to try to train him (take advantage of his nose) to search and will happily join you and Wispa on future searches please keep in touch. doglost is an invaluable resource and a real comfort in times of worry. Many thanks all. Kev

- Pleased to be of help! This has made my day, and Wispa looks forward to finally meeting Roger and showing him how to follow a missing dog's scent. Ticks - yuck! Hope you can get them all off, it's a fiddly business. I'm surprised he didn't get the lead off, but it appears to be the only thing which finally stopped him scurrying up and down the coast path.

And also a huge THANK YOU to the caring couple who discovered your lovely lad (he really is THE most handsome dog!)and went to his rescue. - Brilliant news today, we have found Roger!! Not 500 yds from where we lost him, a couple found him still on his lead tangled by a gate that I have passed 50+ times the last two weeks. he is very thin, covered in ticks, very tired but otherwise ok, loads of TLC now. Many thanks to all especially Owl and 'wispa'. The promiseof helping on a search in the futre is a firm one XXXX

- Well done Kevin, your publicity blitz is paying off. He is a very famous - or notorious - little chap now. Everything crossed here!
- 2010-06-16 23:02 Ros
- Good luck, I've been checking most days to see if he's turned up. Everything crossed for you - we got our dog back after 12 days missing - hope you have the same outcome.

- If current sightings are true and accurate it does seem that he is getting closer! We had a report on Monday of a dog being seen on Sunday night on Swansea Bay, just East of the Friday sighting and a call from a colleague who is sure she saw him in the Sketty area on Monday evening, this is no more than a mile from us!! I will be dropping posters in that area tonight and tomorrow!
- 2010-06-14 23:25 Owl
- Just been looking at the map. If Roger had continued east through Horton it is around 20 miles max to Mumbles along the coastal path, and he could have easily covered that in 4 days.
- 2010-06-14 20:41 Bugs
- Hope there is positive news, very soon.

- Bumped due to probable positive sighting
- 2010-06-14 15:35 KevDocChild
- We received what seemed a reliable sighting from the Mumbles area on Saturday morning, Roger was, maybe, spotted the night before, but have heard nothing since. Being this sad for this long is really wearing, still keeping hopeful though.
- 2010-06-12 15:22 Owl
- It was great meeting you as well, Kevin. Let's hope that with all the people who will be enjoying the fine weather this weekend, someone will get a sighting of Roger.
- 2010-06-10 12:20 KevDocChild
- Dear Owl It was fantastic to meet you and the stunning Wispa yesterday, you kindness really helped raise hope that was starting to wane in a very upset family. I hope you are both taking a much deserved rest today, as I am feeling the effects of our Gower adventure. As mentioned if you think of anything I can do to help in future searches please do not hesitate to ask.

- Well done Owl and Wispa. Jan x

- We met up with Kevin who gave my dog a sniff of Roger's bed, and we were away. It was quite a scramble following his trail as it wandered above and below the coast path, but headed back east to Port Eynon and then in the direction of Horton. Then we had to stop as Wispa can't track for more than 2 1/2 hrs before she loses concentration. We finished our trek in a huge patch of brambles and bracken which was heaving with rabbits. Roger can hunt well, he has everything he needs in the Port Eynon and Horton areas. This afternoon was baking hot, and doubtless he will have been asleep somewhere so we didn't really expect to see him. There has been a great publicity effort and someone is bound to recognise him if he sticks his head out of the thickets.
- 2010-06-09 08:28 Karen@Woofs
- Good luck Owl!!!
- 2010-06-08 18:05 Owl
- Faithful hound and I will be meeting owner tomorrow midday and hoping to get a trail.

- I'm a friend of Helen's but live in Dorset, I recemmeneded this site, there's some wonderful people on here. Sorry I'm a bit far to come and help. But I know with the help of doglost you'll get Roger back real soon - take all the advice they give you. Do posters galore and check local rescues & pounds, police & dog wardens. Hope he's home real soon!
