- hi basicly take him home ! i registerd the terrier cross below this boy and dispite having 4 dogs already and not a brill income i kept him at home and as he was registered to a "rough" area and riddled in fleas asumed ,and was right that nobody came forward for this boy he is registered with the dog warden which is a legal requirement other than that he,s at home with me cataract fleas and all ! i,ve seen it too many times you think the pound is a safe place but unfortunatly -old , boy, staffie, or black n they realy have a minus chance ! if you can take him home if you took him friday phone on friday explain who you are pay a small fee and you will have a stunning pet ! get him nutured if he,s intact " petvax " at leeds road do all the basics cheap if money is an issue - i do think looking at him sat unrestrained in the car he looks a good boy although a week in a kennel doesn,t help behaviour imagine yourself in there ! being the master and training classes can realy help a novice !! if your realy stuck i adopt goats from halifax rspca and could have a word but dont rely on this !! think of this as your good deed !!!! would you hope somewon wouldn,t turn thier back on you knowing your fait ?

- Thank you for all your comments. We didn't know that he would be put down if nobody claimed him. He is such a lovely dog that we can't believe nobody would be looking for him. We will contact Fleet Lane in the morning and ask if anyone has come forward. As he was found late on a Friday night, the dog warden was not working and we were told to take him to the kennels by Shipley Vets. Liz (Jarvis Cocker), if you read this, can you please call us or email n166ero@hotmail.com with any advice as we really don't want him to be put down.

- I do hope that his owners come forward to claim this lovely boy, Fleet Lane only keep them for 7 days and if he isn't claimed or bought out, he will be put to sleep. I know a few people who live in the Great Horton Area I will e mail them his poster and ask if they can check if any local dogs are missing

- I presume the dog warden has been informed? Have any found posters been put up in case someone is looking for him? Maybe not with a picture in case someone tries to take him, or with proof of ownership required. I always worry that some people don't know the right people to contact when their dog is missing.

- Hi, I am involved in a local Dog Rescue, I have E mailed the poster around to the local helpers, I know that Fleet Lane used to have a very bad name but Keith who runs it now is a lot more caring and helpful. Liz
