- JAYNE - please can you send out email alerts for Cleo to local helpers as we didn't have that functionality back up and running when Cleo was originally registered. Thanks!

- I hope Cleo's appearance in CMW again will help and bring that call! I know its now difficult for you Alex to search for Cleo but there is still hope she will be found. You thankfully had her chipped, so her chip could still bring her home (not sure how things stand with the contact details on her chip now - email me if you need a UK contact on there) and DL helpers are always checking found reports against lost dogs on here so one day hopefully there'll be a match with Cleo!

- thanks for the pointer but it is not cleo. she is naturally smooth coated and does not require stripping to look like she does in the photo. still holding out hope. alex
- 2010-08-12 16:34 CorbiereW
- Sorry I think the ears are shorter, and she is quite rough coated, but who knows after a month and no grooming?
- 2010-08-12 16:33 CorbiereW
- The PATTERDALE bitch found in Oxfordshire today might be her, though hairier: ID 24534. Similar build, tail length and white mark on chest. She was found with a Border Terrier bitch, though there is no reason to think if they were dumped or escaped together, that they were lost together

- Great to have a potential sighting. Fingers crossed this was her and you will get some more calls. You alway get some idiots that have nothing better to do than to rip down posters and prank call, but thankfully they're in the minority!

- Had a sighting reported on tuesday of a dog matching of a dog matching cleo's description in the vicinity of hilly fields. seen by a man running at 1930. i was away working but some of my friends have been looking. i went out and looked on friday and saturday night. i have put up more posters in the area. unfortunately i have seen that some one has pulled down and ripped up some of the posters i had put up previously. i also had a prank call at 2330 on saturday night from two young lads. i am hopeful that cleo will come home soon.

- Sorry to hear there is no news on Cleo. I know you are doing a great job searching and postering, so hopefully it won't be long till there is some news. As you say, the calls show people are looking and thats what you need!

- Put another 20 posters on the other side of town, around old heath and abbey fields. had a report of a man with grey hair and glasses walking her. on investigation it was a rough coated terrier, but the size and colours were about right. at least people are seeing and responding to the posters. no new sightings of cleo...

- Still no news. I have checked the street cleaning department of the council. They have not recovered any dog carcasses. Any that they do find are scanned for microchips. I have still left the way into the garden clear. She has never gone off before. She is very friendly and would more than likely talk to people she saw out and about once she got over the initial excitement of being out. Makes me think that someone has her. - Sadly still no news on Cleo despite owner put up lots of posters. He's had some calls with sightings from the first day she went missing but nothing since. Please let the all important call come soon. x

- Sorry to see Cleo is missing. I have changed the region on Cleo's from East Anglia to South East, I know its on the borders and there is often debate as to whether Essex is/isn't East Anglia, but on DL it falls under south east. :) ~~~~ I would strongly urge you to contact and preferably visit Westend Farm Kennels (if not done so already)....they are in Suffolk but kennel the strays picked up in the Colchester district. Their number is 01449 737641. I'll also email you an info sheet - will be similar to the one Helen has kindly emailed but also includes the Essex dog warden contact numbers and emails - useful for notifying neighbouring boroughs etc. ~~~~ Sounds like you are doing all the right things already and getting plenty of posters up which is great and they do work. Keep at it, the more people know Cleo is missing the better! Hoping Cleo is home very soon. x

- Have spoken to the owner and Cleo escaped from the garden, She was sighted last Wednesday but has not been seen since. The owner has notified the Dog warden and all local vets in the area. I have advised to leave a way open for her with bedding, food and water incase she returns on her own.I will send general information documents through. It may be worth putting an advert on the radio and in the local papers. Stay safe Cleo until you are found x

- Hi, I’m sorry to hear Cleo is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.

- thanks for the link lainey. i did think this was her, but i spoke to the person holding id 11451, he described her as a long haired patterdale with a red leather collar. she has since been picked up by her owners. cleo is smooth haired and has a black nylon collar on. i have put up 50 posters in the area around my house and where people reported seeing her. hopefully she will turn up soon.
