- Great news, Toby is home! He was picked up the morning he went missing after a lady saw him in the road (and nearly hit him). She wasn't sure what to do with him, rang the police etc, but then took him to the kennels/groomers she takes her dog to where he's been for the past week. Thankfully kennels/customer saw one of the owner's many posters, called and now Toby is back home. Welcome home boy. ~~~~ His owners pass on their thanks to Doglost for the help and are very kindly going to make a donation to help us continue to help owners of lost/stolen dogs. THANK YOU! ~~~~Last edited: 2010-07-01 15:45:17 by Jo - Area Co-ordinator, Essex

- Have you tried Gemini kennels on the A127; they take in strays? Also Acresway Kennels in Thundersley. Please would you add the area that SS7 refers to, so we can have, hopefully, a more limited area in which to search initially. Posters are the way to go. Good Luck!Last edited: 2010-06-28 10:35:19 by Angus

- Hi, I’m sorry to hear Toby is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
