GREAT NEWS!!!WELCOME HOME MACEY.XXXX
caitlin375
I have the dog back, she is currently lying on the rug, so this is just to confirm it was definitely macey tyhat was found and she is now home safe.

Thanks Millys mum, I will definitely have mace chipped and a new id tag when she is home. Mace is being dropped back tomorrow after we pay the fee which is £200 (that im more than aware could have been avoided had she been microchipped to begin with) she is worth every penny and more to us and we can't wait to just have her back. She was my dads dog and he passed away 2 years ago, which just makes her all the more precious to me. So excited about her coming home.

caitlin375, thanks for the call this afternoon to say that Macey has been found, thanks in part to Woodlands Kennels (they have been instrumental on other occasions, in getting dogs back to their owners - a big THANK YOU to them for their help!). MY (!) Elmstead Woods, that's a long way for her to have travelled (I suspect it wasn't under her own steam). Do let us know, when you've tracked down the holding kennel and have set eyes on her. I will wait until you actually get her back before transferring her to the Reunited area. I'm so happy for you but, as I've already said, please make sure that this very precious little girl gets a chip AND an ID tag on her collar as a 'welcome home' present. Just to give a full update. We contacted Woodland Kennels this morning. They did not have the dog but gave us an alternative number to try. We called this number and they gave us information on all found dogs in our area, one sounded promising and so an email was sent with a picture of the dog, it was Macey. They are now trying to locate the exact kennel that the dog is in and to arrange for us to prove that the dog is ours and to pick her up. We are so grateful to dog lost for giving all the contact numbers, we mightn't have found Macey otherwise. So again, thank you very much.

My dog has been found in the elmstead woods area, I have had a picture of the dog and have confirmed it is definitely mine.

caitlin375, It was good to make contact with your 'other half' at the weekend and also good to hear that you are able to travel back to London. I hope that you found the contact numbers useful - please contact me if you need me to repeat any of them to you. As I said, it's really imperative to get as many Missing posters out as necessary (available on here - you need to be logged in) - 100+ for starters and, if you will find them useful, we can also arrange for mini flyers to be emailed to you which can be used as hand-outs. Make sure you visit Battersea Dog Home in person (and take a poster along) and also Woodland Kennels is another must! Hope you efforts pay off and that Macey will be back home with you very soon. Good Luck!Last edited: 2010-07-05 10:52:17 by Millys Mum

Still no sign of Macey. Have contacted Battersea dogs home, local animal warden, the police and several other animal shelters. It's really difficult to put posters or search the area from where I am and the person who was meant to be responsible for the dog doesn't seem to bother. I will be coming over from Scotland now to hopefully find my dog as I'm desperately worried about her now. I'm so grateful for the supportive calls I have had from the doglost team, thank you so much.
