Thanks Jo for the up-date, keep up the good work, you are doing a brilliant job of keeping Oakey and Angus's profile high. Someone, somewhere must know where these 2 are.

Had busy day yesterday visiting pounds, rescues and traveller sites, following a phone call that led to a dog- but sadly not ours. Would just like to mention that Meadow Green pound is so good and the owner so passionate and caring that if we ever wanted a rescue dog we'd go there, but Jerry Green in Halesworth were bluntin their email reply to our daughter's poster, and when we visited in person she said 'we don't do strays' and refused to put up a poster because she said they've no room and anyway people never let them know when they were found and basically she just wasn't interested and clearly didn't care. We were shocked and thought you ought to know. New posters are great. Have you looked at our daughter's facebook campaign? Lost dog- oakey please come home. It is gathering momentum. Today we've talked to a local gamekeeper and renewed some of our posters.

Thank you Hazel. I have forwarded these on to Oakey's owner and Angus's owner who are both doing a brilliant job getting the word about these 2 x

Hi Helen, Sorry for any confusion if you saw an attempted new post for Oakey - I'm Jess, Jo's daughter and have been trying to help in the search, not realising Mum had already contacted you. Thanks for all your help - I really hope we see Oakey home soon. Jess x

Thanks Jo for posting and giving us up-date. You have done a brilliant job getting the word out in and around Kessingland. There are so many people keeping a look for Oakey and his mate, hopefully we will hear some news very soon x
Jo
Thanks for all your help so far. The news is out there and it seems everyone on our beach is doing their bit, but there is nothing, not a sighting , not a whimper from either of our dogs. We have listened walking at 4am all along the rabbitty cliff... if they're anywhere underground it's possibly in the deepest brambly part which is virtually inaccessible to us, but you'd think our morning and late evening walks would have produced a murmur in answer to our squeaks and calls. We can only pray as we have done from the start as we've just about ticked every box on your helpful list of tips.

I have spoken to the owners a couple of times yesterday and they are doing everything possible to find Oakey. They have handed out 100's of flyers at the car boot sale at Kessingland. They are continuing to search the area where Oakey and his friend went missing and everybody in the area are helping to spread the word. Stay safe until you are found xxx

Have spoken to the owner and Oakey has ran off on a walk very close to home, he has done this before but has always returned soon after. I have advised the owner to leave a way open for him incase he returns on his own. Dog warden's and local vets have been notified and posters have been put up in the area. I will send general info, contact numbers for vets and rescues in the area . Stay safe Oakey until you are found xxx

Hi, I’m sorry to hear Oakey is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
