- A neighbour mentioned in passing that her friend had lost a little Yorkie & it turned out that it was, in fact, Doda! I pointed to my car window where I have posters of Doda & Willow. She said owners are devastated. I asked why they are not communicating with DogLost as we are trying to help her? She didn't know so I said pls tell her to go to Dog Lost. This was 3 weeks ago & I can see nothing been posted. Maybe they think that this is the end & were too upset at the time to understand there were a lot of things we could do to help find Doda? Don't know if it would have worked, but really wanted to try all avenues. Possible that gypsies have her. Quite common round here, I believe. I wish they had communicated more. Can only hope that one day Doda will be found, possibly via microchip. So sad though. Kim x Last edited: 2010-09-21 13:54:23 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

- Sorry Kimmybear had problems this end first with printer and then with my terriers. My little dog has been so very unwell that I have been sitting up with her through the night and endlessly visiting the vets, so haven't been able to help as much as I would have liked. Things are slowly settling down this end and paws crossed ma wee brown dog is now on the road to recovery so I logged on again. Sad to see this little one is still lost. Will start postering again later today and in the morning and raising the awareness that she is still missing. Any news on this little sweetheart anyone?Last edited: 2010-08-18 16:30:06 by Capote

- Thank u. Some of my posters are now completely washed out but others have stayed fine in spite of all this rain. I can't figure out what's happening with Doda? There aren't as many posters up as we need really, although Capote & I have done a lot & there seems to be a few, I assume from owners, but I don't think we are out in full force in Harlow at the moment. I will keep going and replace some old ones. Last edited: 2010-08-10 12:42:02 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

- Dear Capote, Sorry your little one is sick; hope he/she is better soon. I have no idea where Netty is; I seem to have lost communication this last month. Wish we heard something from owners on the situation. Hope they haven't given up. Maybe they're so distraught they think there's nothing they can do? Wish we could hear. Will keep eye out for the other lost one. Thank you. It might be worth putting up a couple of posters - I believe there were dognappers in Epping a couple of years ago. Big hugs x

- You're doing a brilliant job there Kimmybear are Netty and the others aware of this situation? has anyone heard any news about this little sweetie? Is she still lost? Got printer but have a very sick little terrier this end so have been very distracted. I am due to vets again in morning in Epping shall I take posters? I am hearing another little dog has also just gone missing from very close to Doda, Brays Grove, CM18 a white and brown female JRT waiting confirmation, further details and poster to appear on Doglost. - Have been postering in various places around the town.

- Was postering again at Church Langley where the Common meets Potter Street and two dog walkers told me Doda was seen at Potter Street shops, but I don't know when? They were happy telling me this, but the problem was I was over the other side of a big ditch and the dogs were all barking and I'm partially deaf. So I couldn't get all of it. Has there been any news from owners? Or were they talking about the original sighting? Postered Foster St as well.

- Am postering the Commons tonight for Doda.

- Dear Capote, that is so brilliant! I didn't see that article - we had a lot of trouble getting The Star to do an article on Cassie, and then they only did it because I am partially deaf. Netty got them to do that. Well done! I didn't know you lost your little one; I am so glad all is well. I am going to poster for Willow as well. x

- Got new printer today so should be able to get on it now in earnest. I just thought local papers good idea as they carried a free short article when our JRT when at Christmas from Latton Common and we got a big response back from that. If owners are reading this and you are insured your insurers will cover advertising and cost of posters and leaflets as they did for us. If you are not insured please please don't lose heart just get as many posters up as possible the BP and Tesco garages will both also take flyers and have them on their counters for free as do some of the pubs near both Commons. Macdonalds also were very helpful and carried flyers for us on their counters for nothing so people could see them when they picked up a burger. If you make flyers you can also hand them out to shoppers as they leave Tescos or Sainburys we did this too you can hit a lot of shoppers in just an hour especially on a Saturday. Or pop them under the parked car window screens by these shops. If you want help with scenting I have done this before and am happy to assist you.

- Half a page advert in Star costs £2,500, if I remember rightly. I was going to do this when we lost Cassie. The Star is not always happy to do lost dog articles, but sometimes it does. Well worth the owners trying as an article is free! Even an ad in the lost and found is something. Worrying as it's been so long. She's so little, she could hide out of sight. Has the area been scented etc? Does she know her way home? Come on little one, come back. Posted part of town park, will re do if rains. Will post more near the Commons etc as soon as poss. - Have postered Church Langley/Potter St border at the Common. Think I have found where Doda went missing. Never realised how close Church Langley is to Potter St - only maybe 200 yards! Found a couple of posters already up there, but we need to make an impact. Dear Capote, looks like its you and me, girl! Just hope I can remember where I'm putting them all. I have postered at Milwards entrance to fields, bus stops and doggy bins various places. I am doing town park tonight as you never know where she could be. Very worrying - such a little dog. If it rains the posters will be a mess.

- I have emailed both The Herald and The Star and sent link to this page with poster details could someone follow up with perhaps a telephone call today.

- Waiting on new printer delivery as old one gave up the ghost and then I will join in Kimmybears great postering campaign. Until then can anyone cover CM17 area near both Latton and Harlow Commons as we have no posters up here. Could owners or possibly owners friend or Doglost arrange for a picture or full page in this weeks Harlow Star and/or Herald as then they will cover a wide area quickly they have featured other missing dogs and it really helps get the word to every household in area in one big hit. If they get a small story they may print article or you can email them the details as they run a small piece.

- Posters up near Cemetery, Fennells, Old Passmores Museum, Pishobury Park in Sawbridgeworth, Bishops Stortford Grange Paddocks park and my vets in Bish.Stfd. I'm not sure what part of the Common she was lost in but I will try and poster as many doggie places as possible all around the town and Common. Am e-mailing lots of people and spreading the word. I'm working full time but doing as much as possible, even sneaking some posters up whilst out working! :-) Kim x Last edited: 2010-07-19 22:57:19 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

- No news yet. Thanks for all you are doing. She originally went missing on a walk. She was being walked by a friend of owner and Doda disappeared under a bush. The friend looked for her but couldn't find her. As you say Kim she is TINY. But what happened next we don't know? Did she wander out and was picked up by someone, was she encouraged away from the walker and grabbed, is she still out there wandering, in the bushes etc? Hopefully with all the posters going up more will become clear.

- I understand Doda is tiny, does anyone know if she has shown any interest in holes, or rabbits etc? I am wondering whether she may have accidently hidden herself or if we are looking at abduction or something? Being so small, there are a number of possibilities. It is very hard to figure out what may have happened. Guess we just need to keep postering and looking etc. Come on little one, let's have some news.Last edited: 2010-07-17 22:25:57 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders

- Sadly Doda is still missing and there has been no news. Usual places, DW, vets etc all notified and owners have put up some posters and done some leafleting. They would be very grateful for any help with postering etc, as they are desperate to get their baby back. Thanks all. If anyone is having problems with printing the poster here from Doda's page let me know and I can email you a copy. x

- So sorry Doda is missing. I have been so busy I didn't see this until today. So sorry. Is she still missing? Is there any news? If she is, I can print some posters off tomorrow and start stickering! I'll take Misty with me and poster as much as possible. Do we know the circumstances of her disapperance? Thank you, Kim xLast edited: 2010-07-12 22:52:16 by Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
