- This is the best news and a huge WELL DONE to your son for handling the situation so well. I bet you were proud of him! I hope that Kya is none the worse for her time spent away from home and I'm certain that once she's back into her old routine with her family around her, it won't be long until this episode is well and truly behind her. It's good to hear that Kya is now chipped. Will she also be getting a nice, new shiny ID tag on her collar (actually an ID tag is a legal requirement but please don't state her name and address as just your surname, a postal code and preferably two telephone contact numbers are all that is required). Welcome home gorgeous little girl and make the most of all the extra fuss and TLC!!!Last edited: 2010-09-24 20:49:56 by Millys Mum

- My son was in a park where he used to walk Kya and his friend spotted her so Mark walked calmly over and called her she ran crying and leaped into his arms he then spoke to her in spanish commands which he had taught her these men then agreed that she was Mark's dog we took her to the vets today she is a little under weight a few bite scars we had her chipped and hopefully she will be spayed a week monday, once again we wish to thank everyone for their help. So never give up hope in finding your dog if they are lost.

- Just spoken to owner who'se delighted to get Kya back home. He saw 2 men walking her in the park and as soon as he called her, they realised she was his dog. She is ok. Welcome home sweetheart. Stay safe now.

- I do not think there is any point in trying around Luton area I still think she was taken by gypsies which were camped close to where she went missing she could be anywhere in the country I just want to thank everyone who has helped in trying to trace her but we have to be realistic and know they took her for breeding and until they have finished with her we have no chance in getting her back which is our fault for not getting her spayed and chipped.

- I was listening to Heart this morning, and its no longer the normal two people. They, loved dogs as she had one of her own so she would of announced it.. Where else can we go. I think the best idea is to now, get a stall/stand in the Arndale near Primark/HSBC bank to get people aware more about her. I would be able to help out if we could this in October half term, or just before Christmas and after 4:30 on Saturdays. Last edited: 2010-09-08 23:34:35 by Karenn

- Thanks for posters. I will poster up at a charity stall I work at on Saturdays - we get alot of people come over now and we are right by Tims Kitchen. So it will get word around. I am ringing the shops along Crawley Green Road for some information with regards to the posters, which have been taken down - seeing if they have seen anyone act suspiciously around them.
- 2010-08-28 10:53 Kiaya

- The Markings of Kya sounds like Kyeyah Upper Mouth and Teeth are longer than jaw and teeth, A piece is missing from left side of tongue, Slight Ginger Brindle on left side of body rest of her colouring is black and a very small white stripe on backhind of toe. I hope this describes her better.

- In answer to Karen no a gypsy came into my pub and said he knew what had happened to her at first I believed him but after speaking to Linda I realise it was to fob us off, We must thank everyone who has been trying to locate her you are all wonderful

- 2010-08-24 21:26 Karenn
- Nina, lets hope we can get a group of people to help us out xxx
- 2010-08-24 20:33 Nina
- Karenn please find out about a megaphone you can buy or hire them from a good hire shop. With the Bank Holiday coming up it would be an ideal time to be seen and HEARD I am sure you know where you would attract most peoples attention and have plenty of posters with you. If the local papers or TV and radio media get to hear what you are doing you may even get them on board to get maximum publicity. Good luck if I was nearer I would be joining you.
- 2010-08-24 20:13 Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
- Bumped due to new photos of Kya. Keep looking everyone.
- 2010-08-24 19:09 Karenn
- BTW forgot to ask! Did you find the information via Email because if you did you can track their I.P address?
- 2010-08-24 19:08 Karenn
- That is a good idea Nina maybe some of us should go to the arndale center and give out leaflets and posters there? We must get the word around. I think someone must have her because my posters were removed when I put them up? So I think someone is trying to hide and that could be their excuse to put everyone off scent. xx
- 2010-08-22 19:49 Nina
- I have suggested this before and I will suggest it again. Get a megaphone and stand in a busy place where you will get maximum attention and let everyone know that Kya is missing. Hand out missing posters at the same time. This may get more media coverage and that really is exactly what you want in an effort to get Kya back.

- This is just heartbreaking for Kia's owners. if anyone out there has Kia, PLEASE have some pity & compassion. Hand her back to her owners by leaving her somewhere and informing owners on 07531 440774. Owners have tried everything to find her. The only council which were COMPLETELY UNHELPFUL were Northamptonshire council. They should be trying to re-unite dogs with their owners, not showing distressed owners the door.Last edited: 2010-08-22 19:32:05 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

- I am sure this site is read by travellers who have computers. Please if there are any on line please if you have any pity on the situation that we now hear about Kya let it be known that us dog lovers are desperate for information on her.
- 2010-08-22 16:37 Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
- Surely not? What evidence is there of this.?? Called owner and left a message.
- 2010-08-22 14:09 Kiaya
- Was told some horrifying news last night that is if it is true that Kya was taken by gypies in St Thomas Rd Luton by the name of Striker or Steaker and that the man had shot her with an air rifle and that now she is dead. I do not know if this is true I do not know what to do,
- 2010-08-21 15:13 Kiaya
- I have sent emails with details to every dog warden in England but with no avail she has just vanished had plenty of false hopes but not one real sighting we think she was sold on by travellers which were camped close by my son went three times with posters they were very friendly and insisted they hadn't seen her now they have moved on. One more detail my son remembered Kya has a small piece missing from the left side of her tonge so we hope that will jog someones memory thank you every one for trying to find her
- 2010-08-18 19:07 Karenn
- Have you tried other local rescues, and perhaps contacting the local newspaper to see if they will do an article? xxLast edited: 2010-08-18 19:08:19 by Karenn

- Yes, I thought that as well Karen but then thought it may be an old picture. She looks very similar in size to my staff who is mistaken for a puppy all the time although she's nearly 4. Will keep an eye out for a smallish one then!
- 2010-07-28 22:39 Karenn
- She looks quite a small build on the picture. I have been postering again this evening, whilst walking my gsd.
- 2010-07-28 22:34 rubys_mum
- What build is Kya? Does she have any distinguishing features? I'm in LU2, not seen any posters and have only just seen this. Will keep my eyes open whilst out and about. So many staffs round here, hence why I asked if she has any obvious features. Hope it's not too long till she's back where she belongs!
- 2010-07-27 14:34 Angus
- Kya had been re registered on site by owners today - I have deleted that record and bumped this one so that owners can find easily
- 2010-07-26 22:35 Karenn
- My posteres have been removed again, so I reposted on the same post where it was removed. I posted a leaflet through a shop door who have kindly put it up - I'll give her a ring to see, if she saw anyone acting suspicious around that lampost, and at whatever time since Friday. I believe anyone who has stolen her is around the Somerset Avenue/Bloomfield avenue area.
- 2010-07-23 22:23 Karenn
- I have put more posters up. Two posters & posted leaflets through doors. My poster in Crawley green road & bloomfield avenue have now been taken down by someone.
- 2010-07-22 14:55 Angus
- I have advised owners to post posters through the doors of all properties in the area
- 2010-07-22 14:53 Angus
- will contact owners for an update
- 2010-07-21 22:30 Karenn
- I checked my posters and they've been taken down. They were opposite Somerset Avenue (a road off of, Crawley green road) tied to a lamp-post. Seems as though someone has removed it, as it weren't on the floor either. I will repost some. Last edited: 2010-07-21 22:32:21 by Karenn

- I have checked the posters I put up and they still are, so whoever have taken them down are on the other side of the roundabout of me. Which is lu2 - so must be near where she was taken.
- 2010-07-14 10:42 Riverlady
- Will put on twitter
- 2010-07-13 17:58 AlisonH
- Posters being taken down are a sure sign someone has her and doesn't want her to be found. Give a poster to the local police community support officers and ask them to look out for her. Good luck with the search, hope she is home soon.
- 2010-07-13 16:46 Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
- Please keep postering everywhere you can to replace the posters which have been removed. This is most likely how you will get your dog back.

- email from owner ----- We had several calls in the past week of sightings of Kya my son's missing 11 month female black staff. Each time we have raced off to try and find her but each time - nothing, three different areas of the town. She is very friendly and obedient, we think in all honesty she was stolen. All posters we put up have been pulled down in the area that she was taken from so we think someone knows something. It's the awful thing of not not where she is and if she is being treated well. We want to thank you for all your help and all we can hope is she will turn up unharmed.
- 2010-07-07 20:16 Karenn
- I put posters up in Crawley green road and Bloomfield avenue. As their been anything more about her?
- 2010-07-06 21:50 Angus
- Thanks for your support Lorraine

- I'm a dog walker based in Hitchin and will keep a lookout for Kya, I'll re-locate as many walks as possible to the Offley area incase she may be wandering around there. Lorraine xx
- 2010-07-06 14:30 Angus
- Kya was stolen from the garden of 4a Crawley Green Road at about 7.30 in the evening, whilst owner was visiting friends. This is the town end by the big roundabout. Owners have contacted all the right people - if helpers can flood the area with posters we may just have a chance with this one. Kya's owner has been unwell and she has been by his side all the time helping his recovery he is devasted by her theft
- 2010-07-06 13:51 Angus
- will contact owners for more details and photograph
- 2010-07-05 23:00 Karenn
- I am in the LU2 area. I have just allowed posters to be sent to my account as I was having problems. I will post pictures as soon as possible. Good luck with the search xx
