- Just had a call to say Misty has been found. Some campers heard her bark at about 1 o'clock this morning and called the owners who went out to search for her but it was dark and they didn't have any luck. However they went back out first thing and at 9 o'clock they found her. She was stuck in a bog. Poor little mite is very traumatised and dehydrated. She has to stay at the vets over night and hopefully will have recovered enough to go home Saturday.

- Any news on Misty? She looks so much like my Barney! I just wish I was closer so that I could help search for her. Have her owners been advised about scenting the area where they last saw her?

- Hi , I’m sorry to hear Misty is missing. Someone will try and make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days, so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog & give them a poster. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description. Last edited: 2010-07-08 19:58:57 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
