Oh thank goodness Cookie is home. I hope he will never be left tied outside anywhere again. there are SO many dogs stolen in this way. Welcome home little baby. xx

I got Cookie back today!!! Im sooo happy...to all dog owners: DONT LOSE FAITH!!!!!!! I thought I would never get him back...just try...POSTERS DO WORK...and all advice from this charity is extremely invaluable! Very very nice people...if anyone needs to talk to me about how I got him back please call, or call Steff from doglost. Thanks everyone xxxx

Relieved to be able to post up that dear little Cookie has been returned to his owners today. Money had to be exchanged before this happened though. Welcome home sweetheart.Stay safe now.xx

Thanks Riverlady & Scarlet. I will add Cookie to the Doglost West London page also.Thanks for the email alerts Jayne. Cookie was outside the Costcutter shop when he was taken & put into a car which then drove off.Police have been informed.There is a reward for his safe return . I have given owner advice & contact numbers.

Hi, I’m sorry to hear Cookie is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description. Have sent Cookie's owner an advice sheet.
