Hi, have spoken to the owner of the dog and there's a bit more to it in that the owner had left the dog for the night with a woman called Jasmine (possible surname Todd?) who she'd met thru the freeads who was looking for another dog and the arrangement was that the dog would be kept by the woman overnight to see if he got on with her other Rottweiler - the following day the owner tried to get her dog back and she said that she had told the RSPCA she'd been ill-treating the dog and had now sold him on to new owners. The police have advised her that this is a civil dispute and that she should take the woman to court - she has been to the woman's home in Towfold, West Sussex and a neighbour told her that in 3months she had had 4 different Rotts at the address so it appears to be a scam to dupe unsuspecting people who are possibly looking to rehome their dogs? Have advised the owner to pass on the details to the Rottweiler Club & Rottweiler Welfare + any National dog papers that she get to print her story etc...am emailing her a few links to help her out with who to contact. The owner still has his pedigree/paperwork and I've advised her to make sure that Petlog have him down as stolen in the hope that she may be able to find him if the new owners take him into a vets etc... BTW this dog is undocked for info as unclear from photos. Michelle

Have there been any sightings of this gorgeous dog at all - to establish if he may have come towards Horsham or the other way towards Henfield ? Was he stolen or missing out on a walk etc? It is worth a try to see if you can get a advert in the West Sussex County Times today for tomorrow - if not it would have to be next week as the paper comes out on a Thursday now and not a Friday. The telephone number is 01403 751200. Might be worth giving Radio Mercury a call and seeing if they will do a few announcements on the radio. I do hope that Scar is back home again very soon where he belongs. Julie x

We are sorry to see Scar is missing. We will do all we can to help you in your search. You need to POSTER, POSTER, POSTER the area as much as possible, WE CANNOT EMPHASISE ENOUGH THE IMPORTANCE OF POSTERING. Great he is CHIPPED if not already contact the Chip Co and report him missing and check your details are up to date. Contact DW’s, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo). Hhe may end up in kennels, dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone. Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW’s etc and if you have started postering. You can leave a comment in the Add a Comment box below other comments. Good luck.
