It's been a horrible week - on Tues we had a phonecall off the council(street cleansing) that a cadaver matching Fletch's description was picked up on the A55 - I went to pick it up but it was unidentifiable one of our vets had the gruesome job and it was identified as a badger that had probably been dead for nearly 2 weeks. Then on Thurs we got a phonecall off a lady that had picked Fletch up minutes after he had disappeared from the park - he had been on the A55 near Colwyn Bay - it was this lady that put a collar on him - as she was about to drive off the policewoman stopped and took Fletch off her saying she was going to take him to the pound. There have been so many "if only's"....we have started putting the posters up further afield now as well.

Everything is being done to find Fletch. Email received this morning. 'We have contacted all vets in area . Phoned RSPCA Bryn y Maen, Pet Rescue in Dyserth, North Clwyd in Trelogan. Fletch is microchipped - dog wardens in both Conwy and Denbighshire contacted. Council street cleansing and highways dept contacted. We both work in a vets in Abergele - we have saturated the area with posters - our postman has even delivered some for us. All the teabars, garages and McDonalds along 30mile stretch of A55 (East +West) have put posters up for us. All our vets and nurses have posters displayed in their cars. We are starting a 2nd sweep of phonecalls today to jog peoples memories. I cannot believe that there have been no sightings at all of him. Our local farmers have been made aware in case he went cross country. We even had the man who runs the A55 cameras trawl through 3 days woth of tape from Colwyn Bay to Rhuallt Hill' Please keep a look out for Fletch. Last edited: 2010-07-20 14:44:41 by Goldenfrodo

Contacted owner with more advice. Hope this little boy is found soon. He could be anywhere now as there will be lots of holiday makers in the area ahd the A55 is a main route further into North Wales.

Fletch belongs to my friend - we both work in a vets in Abergele. Katie was playing ball with both dogs in a park in Colwyn Bay, Sunday 11th July - Fletch spotted a rabbit and was off. He headed for the prom and Katie legged it after him down the road - before she got there he was picked up by a police woman. He had no collar on as Katie's 3 yr old had taken it off that afternoon (Katie couldn't find it so put a slip lead on him to take him out) The police woman took him to The Pound in Abergele - she left the cardoor open when she got out to open the gate and Fletch escaped from the car. She saw him heading towards the busy A55. We have been out every night searching, contacted endless charities, dog warden etc (even street cleansing). Fletch is quite nervous around people but loves children and other dogs. Katie and all the family ae desparate for news - good or bad. The telephone number is the one of the vets where we work - all the staff are aware. Thank you for any info.
