Just to let you know Alfy's owners eventually contacted the clinic and advised us to rehome him. We have done so through his breed rescue.

This is such an unusual breed and he's such a beautiful little guy, someone is missing him. Maybe they just don't know yet that he's missing or what to do. Ratel, such a kind offer. I hope all goes well with this little guys soon. xx

Sorry, this may be stating the obvious but has anyone tried knocking on neighbours of the registered home for him? Also look up dog home boarders and kennels in the area, they may be worth a call. Lots of dog walkers know each other too. Sorry, it's all a bit obvious but sometimes the obvious isn't thought at times. I'm a dog walker/boarder and I know half a dozen others so anything is possible

I agree with the general consensus that Alfy has escaped from his holiday carers and, bearing this in mind, I wonder whether this week is a tad too soon to be thinking of rehoming him? My offer still stands and I have made contact with Rachael, however. As all who are reading this will agree, stranger things have happened than a beautiful little dog like this being abandoned. We must wait and see.

I do hope this little chap's owners are just on holiday at the moment and he has escaped his carers. I hope he hasn't just been abandoned. Good luck Alfie.

this lad was found and takentohis own vets he is chipped but the house is empty and noone is answering letters or the phone he has not been reported stolen either he willberehomed next week if not claimed

Someone must be missing this little one. Have the vets contacted the police in case someone has reported him stolen? Do Battersea Dogs Home know of anyone who has lost him? Have they tried contacting local dog walkers and pet sitters, vets etc?
DogLostAngus
Ratel, thank you for your interest - would you be able to call Rachael at the vets who are looking after this little man ? - I am convinced that his owners are away and that carers may have lost him, they were looking to rehome him after Wednesday of next week
Ratel
I hope that this gorgeous boy will be reunited with his proper owners very soon but, if not, I can offer a country home. I neither breed nor show but have kept unwanted Cresteds for 25 years.

Messaage from the vet where he is being held at the moment. "I am writing from Zasman vet in Hampstead we have Alfy here and have undergone many routes to reunite him with his owner with no success. fingers are still crossed. Thanks " Secure proof of ownership will be required to claim Alfie.Last edited: 2010-07-20 09:12:22 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
