- I didn't realise that Kane was now found as no reply to my email and info sent 1 August. I'll notify all the places that I sent posters to that they not look out for him any longer.

- Good news first - Kane is back home with his owners after being found in an outbuilding a few streets away on Friday. He was bruised, battered but surprisingly well for his 2 weeks away! It looks like someone had been feeding/watering him, but the house was vacant. The bad news is... the wonderful KATE phoned me to say a dog matching Kane's description had been handed in on the South side of Coventry. There is only 1 day left for this dog to be claimed before rehoming.

- As well as notifying vets please remember that all stray dogs found in the Coventry area are taken to Birmingham Dogs Home. Also notify RSPCA and Dogs Trust Honiley as they used to (think they still do) take details in case members of public say they have found a dog and don't know what to do.

- Hi, I’m sorry to hear Kane is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog, give them a poster and keep in touch with them every few days.. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
