- Oh :( I know Monty, he sometimes plays with my dogs. If he isn't in Manchester Dogs Home, I will put some posters up around Moss Side tomorrow (M14) or later today if his page is updated. I hope it is Monty, he is a big daft lump.

- Just spoken to owner. She thinks Monty is in Manchester Dogs Home. She phoned yesterday and although they got there at five past five were not allowed to even see him as they close at 5pm. They can't pick him up until 1pm today. Fingers tightly crossed that this is Monty.

- I know this area well as my brother lives in Chorlton.Just phoned him and sent him the poster. He said he'll go and have a look around Jackson's Boat later this evening. Hope Monty is found very soon.

- Hi, I’m sorry to hear Monty is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog, give them a poster and keep in touch with them every few days.. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
