She doesn't know the area and was only placed in the foster home on Thursday, so doesn't have a strong bond with her foster carers.

- And another re-united pic of gorgeous girly Sheba. Her injuries after her adventure (loose term) were only cuts on her pads, a skinned nose and a sore ear - all treatable, so she will abe on the mend now.I hope she finds the loving and understanding home she deserves.Last edited: 2010-08-02 08:56:39 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

- Sheba had been laying low at a farm. The owner called one of the rescue helpers today to say that Shebas was on the main road. He immediately went there and spotted her. He followed her in the car slowly to keep her safe and finally caught up with her, managed to get a slip lead on her and she is on her way home - not to the fosterers, but firstly to the vet and then to somewhere to give her TLC until she is ready to be re-homed again. Any takers for a beautiful creamy coloured GS Bitch who needs lots of love and TLC? I wish I could take her myself. Please contact German Shepherd Rescue Scotland.

- Sheba didn't show up at the farm. We had no sightings for 2 days, but today we have had 4 sightings. The first three Sheba was well, one of our volunteers even managed to get close but she gave him the slip. The most recent sighting she is now limping. Not sure how she has hurt herself. We have 8-10 people out in the area. If anyone is close please, please go along and help. We would love to bring this wee girl home today.

- I have managed to organise a dog trap for tomorrow. I spoke with a man who is an expert in catching dogs like Sheba, he says best to observe tonight, put food out and hope she returns to farm. If she does then it's a good bet she will come back the next night. We have a volunteer at the farm with night vision binoculars. Trying everything we can to bring this wee dog home safe.

- Sheba turned up at the same farm again last night around 11.30pm. The farmer thinks she was there again at around 2am as his dogs were barking at something. We have 2 volunteers doing an all-nighter tonight to try to catch her. I am trying to arrange for a German Shepherd sized dog trap to be delivered to the farm for tomorrow night, just in case we can't get her tonight. Not sure yet if I can get a trap big enough, but I'm making calls.Last edited: 2010-07-27 17:56:13 by GC

- No sightings last night at all.Sheba is near the A77 main road, so that is really worrying. On the up side there are 14 miles of fields, so she could be in those. Can anyone help poster or search PLEASE? We need to get Sheba back safe and sound.

- Sheba was sighted at a farm last night looking for food in a storage barn. The farmer has been great, contacted us and has offered all his help. He's going to put food out tonight in a different outbuilding and try to catch her when she goes in for the food. More people out postering today. Had 5 calls yesterday, so the posters are working.

- Sheba has not been found tonight, but we have had a few phone calls of sightings. This is her second night out. Fingers crossed we find her tomorrow.

- Hi, I’m sorry to hear Sheba is missing. Someone will try to make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
