- Go for it nesstlm complain loudly...this should never have happened. How many other dogs have slipped through the system. Too many people in jobs that they either have no interest in or doing the job badly.

- Hi All. Thank you for all your help and guidance. It turns out that Hetty was picked up at approx 1pm on Friday by the Dog Warden, less than a mile from home! She went missing at approx. 11am when I went out on my horse, where she was found suggests that for whatever reason she had tried to follow me. The Dog Warden out of hours service was contacted just after 5pm on Friday when they said they had not picked her up. They informed me that they do not work weekends so I would have to wait until Monday morning. However I rang again on Saturday morning, gave Hetty's description again but was given the same answer. After spending the weekend searching putting posters up, looking down mine shafts, thinking that she's been stolen or was lying dead somewhere, I then rang them again on Monday morning at 9am. Again they told me that no dog matching my description had been picked up. So again I went out asking people and handing out posters. At approx 3pm a lady phoned me saying that her friend had found my dog and rung the dog warden and that she had been picked up on Friday. I then rang the council again where they still told me that they didn't have a dog that matched my description! It wasn't until I said that I knew that they had my dog and gave the lady's name that they finally said oh yes we do have that dog!!!! By this time it was nearing the end of their working day so they said I couldn't have her back on Monday night, I had to wait until Tuesday (this morning)! They wouldn't let me collect her either. The dog warden admitted when he dropped her off that there is a problem in the system. However that is not enough, I intend to make a formal complaint and take this as far as I can, I am fortunate that I had enough resources to help me get her back, but not all people do. If that lady hadn't rung and given me the name of her friend I would still be none the wiser that they had her!

- Hetty wandered off from her home friday afternoon, she does not normally do this. Given owner advice on postering, contact etc. Possibly this dog has been found, owner waiting for confirmation.
