Pod
Thanks CorbiereW. That's been done. Several people have checked Stonehouse today with no luck yet.......

Suggest someone emails poster etc to Tom George's racehorse training yard at Slad, work riders can look out for Ruby: tom@trgeorge.com - I can't as my software will no longer get up posters so I can't get url... More local trainers at http://www.racehorsetrainers.org/contacts/listtrainers.asp Just put Gloucestershire into the search box and all local yards will come up

Bump! possible sightings
zen
thats good news, am on my way to look there now, and along the canal bank.......i know this area very well.
Pod
Owner received 2 calls late last night reporting sightings of a dog matching Ruby's description near the Stonehouse Court Hotel, on the A419. They saw the dog walking along a footpath opposite the hotel, seemingly by itself. Owner went there last night and we went early this morning, but no sign of the dog. More posters have been put up though, on the canal path behind the hotel and on the footpaths opposite and workers in Stroudwater Business Park were informed.
zen
so sorry that you have had no joy from the newspaper articals, i too am looking at all the rescue sites for new dogs that fit rubys description.
Pod
Absolutely no sightings or news today as a result of media coverage, which is disappointing. Ruby is now definitely a well-known dog locally, with many people asking about her. I'm still checking all found dogs on as many lost dogs sites as possible including ones for rehoming as it is now 2 weeks since Ruby disappeared. If anyone has any thoughts on what else we can do at this stage, with no sighting to go on, please say.....
zen
hope the articles bring the news that we all hopefull, i thought the artical was really good....
Mollychops
This is fantastic Ruby is in the papers . Lets keep fingers crossed this gets some news . Thanks Pod X
Pod
Article about Ruby (with picture) is in the Citizen today. There is also a picture advert in the Stroud News and Journal. Here's hoping these bring some response.....
Pod
Thanks a lot Mollychops for the scenting info.
Pod
Met with owner today to go over everything again and recheck that everywhere has Ruby's details. Between us have called all primary people - wardens, vets, police etc again. We are widening search to vets/rescue centres etc further afield i.e. Bristol, adjacent counties. Article should appear in Stroud Life and the Citizen this week plus there will be a photo advert in the Stroud News and Journal. Thanks to flaggbag for info, please would someone send the owner or myself current scenting info? Also would someone be able to put Ruby on Twitter (Riverlady?). Thank you.Last edited: 2010-08-16 13:15:15 by Pod

Thankyou Pod for your enormous help today. Sounds like so many people in the area are helping. Lets hope this gets Ruby back soon,
Pod
Walked with owner from the house where Ruby went missing, through Box Woods and then through Nailsworth Woods, by the rec. today and also along the Avening Road. Friends have postered the following areas - all common land dog walking spots, Waterside garden Centre, Nailsworth town centre, Avening, all along Scar Hill, Pensile Road and Avening Road, Balls Green. The P.O. sorting office have flyers. Some Stroud pubs were informed last night and the Stroud News and Journal have a press release for the next issue.Last edited: 2010-08-13 18:43:20 by Pod

Is there a warden/ranger person for this common land. If so perhaps they could be notified. And if im right in thinking an icecream factory/shop there too. Bet thats a popular place for all the walkers too!

Greatnews have alertedowner re sightings who is gonna try again and send me a pic
Pod
There have been possible sightings of Ruby on Minchinhampton Common and the Avening Road, near Nailsworth....
Pod
Ruby looks older than her 6 years so somebody may have picked her up to 'rescue' her so please keep a look out in other areas for dogs matching her description. She is very people-friendly. She is rough-coated and was wearing a thin leather collar with a tag on it when she went missing.
Pod
Sorry meant to add further info to this: There is now a £500 reward offered for Ruby by her owner and we are repostering the areas to that effect. Owner is unfamiliar with computers and I am sending a photo of Ruby.
