Special Thanks to all the people staying at Kelmarsh Hall this last weekend who (OVER 500 of them) went out searching for my son. Rosslyn and Gerald - I OWE YOU EVERYTHING - The had the sence to follow JayJay for 4 miles down the A14 on Saturday morning until they were able to catch him in Cold Ashby - 8 miles away from the agility show. Once again, THANK YOU everyone. Dog people are an amazing family. Andrew, Carol, Tag, Xada, Mali and OF COURSE JayJay XXXXXXX

- Jay Jay was reunited thanks to a lovely member of the public - whoever you were THANK YOU .. quote: he was seen running down the A14 by a dog wise person who followed him along the A14 for 4 miles then when safe got out of his car and shouted 'down'. Happy reunion followed not long after.Last edited: 2010-08-16 14:32:48 by Shirley4Collies

- Was speaking to a friend at the festival, all the show ground has been check, the search has been called off for the night now as its too dark, there is a cornfield right next to the show ground, its been thundering on and off all afternoon, hopefully Jay Jay is hiding away somewhere safe.

- Well done Shirley, thats a much clearer photo of Jay Jay than the two I found, wont send them through as yours shows him much better
- 2010-08-14 22:33 Patch
- JayJay is about 2 years old going by the website he`s on, so will very likely be microchipped as its a requirement for measuring in Agility, [ though photo ID can be used but I`d be surprised if he is`nt chipped, if confirmation comes through will post either way on that ]

- We were at Kelmarsh today (at the fun dog show) and were sorry to hear JayJay had gone missing, was hoping you'd have found him by now, really hope he's home with you safe and sound, will keep checking back for news. Just to let you know have emailed Wiccaweys the border collie rescue in northamptonshire to ask them to keep an eye out and pointed them in the direction of this thread. - Hi , sorry to see JAY JAY is missing. Someone will try and make personal contact with you as soon as possible, to offer advice and help. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. Please email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo of your dog quoting the dog’s Doglost ID number, or upload a photo yourself on “update details” above. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days, so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog & give them a poster. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description.
