- Stay safe now Charlie and start acting your age. 15 year olds should be at home not galavanting around. xx

- Oh wow - what a relief (thanks for your email Aunt Stef with the good news). I'm delighted to hear that Charlie is back home safe and sound. Could this very precious senior lad have a nice new shiny ID tag on his collar to compliment his chip? Welcome home Charlie and no more running off and worrying your family!

- Very very pleased to say that this senior adventurer is now HOME & safe. A lovely couple saw him on the wander & felt that he was not used to being out on his own so followed him. They then caught him as he was starting to run across roads. They had taken him home to keep him safe whilst they put out some Found posters .As they were doing this ,owners came by ,searching for Charlie & then the match was made! I would like to say a great BIG thank you to those people for helping this lovely dog out,the owners are over the moon & cannot say thank you enough to them. Owners also wanted to relay their thanks to all on Doglost who helped them here.Welcome home Charlie, stay put now, sweetpea ! xx Last edited: 2010-08-15 19:24:04 by Aunt Stef - Area Volunteer, West London

- Have just spoken to Charlie's owner. Charlie ran from the front door. It might be that he was after a bitch in season so could still on the hunt! He is usually walked in Downhill Park,Haringay & knows his way there so could be in that area.Owner will be contacting Battersea,DWs,vets etc tomorrow as there is no reply today.Posters will be going up ASAP.Any local help here would be really appreciated. I have put Charlie on Facebook:Doglost West London

- I'm so sorry to hear that Charlie is missing (wickedweims, thanks for alerting me). Although I'm not near N15 and don't know the area at all, I'm happy to talk to Charlie's owners. I will keep a watchful eye on this page and hope it won't be long before this very distinctive boy is back home with his family. Hopefully with decent weather here in the London area, it will mean that there are plenty of people out and about.

- Have emailed advice to you (Charlie's owner), but meanwhile - please - firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres. Give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars. You can find vets in your own area by clicking on the green logo which says “Find Any UK VET”, on the right hand side of the page under the “latest missing dogs” photo - top right. You can also add comments and update the dog’s status, e.g.sightings, re-united etc. by clicking on “add a comment” at the bottom of the page. If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and at the same time, check that all details held, are up to date. You can obtain a “MISSING” poster from "view poster" above. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Start postering now! I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS. If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be re-homed legally, after 7 days if it has no identification (microchip or ID disk attached), so please try to visit rescue centres, to look for your dog, give them a poster and keep in touch with them every few days.. Do not rely on checking by phone alone, as other people may not recognise your dog by your description. Last edited: 2010-08-15 15:35:40 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland
